Can we live without mobile phone?  |

 I was born in the time that we have no idea what mobile phone is. I remember that I was quite happy to live in that age. I could make an appointment with my friends. I could get along with (ex-) girlfriend. I use public phone to call back home when I have to go home late. All of these without mobile phone.
Today, same for me, we became so nervous when we forgot to bring mobile phone outside. We are not comfortable to use public phone anymore. We start relationship by asking "mobile phone" number from the target.
It looks very useful until I can't imagine anymore how do we live without it. Is this just a matter of perception? Or it really became crucial already?

3.  aseretdd (6864) | 3 years ago |  Like you, i was also able to live a life during the time when there were no mobile phones yet... even a telephone for that matter... life was so simple and less complicated then... but now i have 2 cell phones... one for work and the other one for personal use... i would always be jittery everytime i forget to bring one of them...
But them... sometimes... when i think about it... i can still live without a cell phone but it will be like i am someone who is elusive to friends and family... since it will be difficult for them to contact me immediately...

| 5. diillu (4362) | 3 years ago |  I also thought the same thing. I used to be so panicked if I would forgot my phone in my room. I couldn't go anywhere without my cell phone. I just thought that it was impossible for me to live without my cell phone.
But last time when I lost my mobile..I was so fristrated to buy new one. And I haven't bought new one. I'm not thinking for a while not to buy the new one cause I'm enjoying my life without mobile.
It's been 4 months I have stayed without mobile.

I only have one cause my daughter put me on her family plan ($10 a month) so I'd have it for safety for me and since I keep her daughter she wants me to be able to get help. Okay, that is fine, but that is all I use it for. I will call occassionally on the free weekends to out of state, but these days with email - contact is immediate nad I love writting those old fashioned things they used to call LETTERS. I just don't think that anyone other than doctors or professions like that, need to be accessible 24/7/365. And let's not forget reception! I live on the first floor of a brand new apartment complex. I can't not get reception in my apt! I have to go outside on the patio and get some, but for "usable" reception, I have to go out into the parking lot. Good grief - call me on the landline!!!! My sone calls me on his way home from work and he lives up over a hill on the interstate and we talk for about 5 miutes nad then he hits that hill and there goes the reception. What's the point!!!

In this time mobile phone is our need, because time is fast and all persons want to convert their message or contact each other with fast way. I used my mobile phone daily to contact people of my business,family members,pay bills,watch news,send and receive messages etc... but sometime i am very upset when i don't want to talk the person but they call me continusly. i can live without mobile phone. but its also right i can't feel comfortable without it.
I see many peoples who don't have cell phone because they don't want to interfare anyone at anytime. They think that with cell phone they don't feel comfortable.
I think some people live without mobile phone and some not live without mobile phone, (according to need)

We are born without it and I believe that there are people who is still living without it. I could say that life will be different without it, there would be a little slow in everything and would affect us a lot, but I know that we would survive without it.

| 10. maryannemax (10433) | 3 years ago | when my phone did not function two months ago, i wasn't so bothered about it. my boyfriend wanted to order a new phone for me so i can have it for emergency purposes. but i said no to it. my phone did not function for almost 3 weeks and i say, i wasn't too worried not having it. i am not a businessman anyway. i have a simple life. i go to school and after that, i go home. whenever my boyfriend needed to talk to me after my class, he can just call me through our landline at home.
i think it's just a matter of how much we attached our lives to our mobile phones. it's not bad to feel that we can live witout it. i am just one of those people who can survive without it.
