I'm eating right now "brazo de mercedes" flavored ice cream, but I haven't actually tried brazo de mercedes. This ice cream tastes good. So maybe, I'll be trying the cake sometime soon... hehe.
This made me wonder, have you tried eating a food that tastes or flavored as something you haven't even tried? Another example is the durian candy and the durian. I hate durian. I think it tastes yucky and smells yucky. But the candy? I love it! Isn't this weird?

Hi there. You should try the actual cake brazo de mercedes. I'm surprised you haven't tasted it yet. But sometimes, it depends on who made this type of cake, because some would taste really good, others would be so-so. The combination of the white fluffy (beaten white egg)surrounding the sweet tasting yellow colored thing inside is just good.
About eating a food that tastes or flavored as someting I haven't tried, is also that one you mentioned. I have not tasted the durian ever in my life. But I have tasted the durian candy. And I can agree with you wholeheartedly that it is good.

Hi swirlz. I just have to add that about durian. I have no idea how it tastes like and also the smell. I really am not too much aware about durian. I mean, I know what it looks like but I don't know the taste and how it smells. But I have tasted the durian candy and love it. (=

lol. So I guess there are many of us who don't like the taste of durian but enjoys the candy? hehe.
I have seen the cake around, in bakeshops and canteens, but I haven't taken interest in it. Maybe I should try it. My curiosity has been sparked. hehe.
Thanks for responding to my discussion. And thanks for the suggestion of trying the cake. ^_^

I'm not really sure about Durian tasting yucky, since I have tasted it though I really don't dig the smell. I like the texture and seet milky taste of it, as I just try to ignore the smell whenever I put some in my mouth!LoL
I believe I still have some of those foods that I can't simply indulge eating them, especially those exotic foods that we are not used to taking at.

Hello swirlz.
Yup! I have tried corn porridge. I really love it. I did know its taste are so good. But I didn't like if my mom make it as jam. Now if my mom do the porridge I will eat it till my face become dingy.Huh! What a best feeling. I think its not weird if having taste like that because we are normal human having different feeling on different food.
HAPPY LUCKY.

I haven't tried corn porridge, too. Actually I haven't even heard of it. But I think it sounds delicious, I love corn. But I think making corn into am would be kinda weird because it's sweetness isn't the jam kind of sweetness, if you understand what I'm trying to say...hehehe...
Have a good day prettyhanan, thank you for responding to my discussion.
