What, do you feel, should be the role of the leader of your religious unit? I mean, as a pastor, priest, monk, rabbi, whatever the religion, what should the role of him/her be? Should he/she be perfect? Should he/she be the one that does all of the work in your unit? Or should the people actually be accountable at some level?

great discussion I dont know I missed it. Anyway .... I think the role of my priest should be to deliver his prayers as they are in the bible and what our religion teaches. I am not interested in his opinion as such. I am christian orthodox so we dont have the talking thing as other churches. At the end of the service the priest talks about the saint we celebrate that day say if its st. Nicolas he would talk about him things like when he lived what he did and that. And then he can tell us what inportant events are coming up.
I belive that he has to be one that does the right things in life so we can follow. It is useless to me to know that we should not sin if he does that him self.

Prophet Mohammad is our religious leader, we are supposed to follow him. There are scholars they just give some public speech. There is no priest or pastor in Islam as in Christianity. I dislike some people known as scholars they are tend to think more than required and make religious matters more complicated than original.
