Christmas Tree

For many years I would go out and buy a real tree because I loved the smell and the look of a real tree. I also loved the tradition of going out and finding that perfect one. After years and years, however, of having to clean up needles and dispose of a dried up mess, I decided to start looking for an artifical tree. I found one a year or so later at a yard sale! I got a 7 1/2 foot pre-lit tree. Artificial trees are so expensive that I simply couldn't afford to go out and buy one for retail. What I wanted was going to cost me about $300.! My lucky yard sale discovery cost me $20! I definately scored! Now I can take a few dollars and buy new ornaments every year rather than blowing all that money on a tree and collect them so I can change things up a bit every year.

We too have a artificial tree up. It is beautiful this year. We bought new lights for it. We heat with coal and yes, it can tend to dry out the tree. That is one reason we have an artificial one.

Since the pine bothers my allergies I have to put up an artificial tree. Luckily for me my kids are all grown ups now so I don't have to worry about them pulling it down...lol...
