Do you prefer an artifical tree or a real tree for your christmas holiday? |
|
I personally have always had a real pine tree for my christmas holidays. This is mine and my fiances first christmas in our new home and the discussion has already aroused of whether to get an artifical tree or to get a real one. He has had artificial trees his entire life, while i have had real trees. So far we have decided to get a real tree for our holiday. So do you get an artifical tree or a real tree for your christmas holiday, and why? Would you ever consider doing the opposite one year?

2. kimcook1985 (690) | 3 years ago | I have an artificial tree every year. When I was a child my parents always had real trees and they were too much of a hassle. First you had to go find one that looked decent, then once you got them home they made a mess everywhere and you have to water them, and bugs are sometimes in them then they get in your house. I might get a real tree one year but for now I will stick with my fake tree.

3. Nykkee (1425) | 3 years ago | I like a real tree. We had an artifical tree but my dog detroyed it. I guess she didn't like it because she's never bothers a real tree. We want to go to a U-cut or just go into the woods and find and cut down outr own tree this year. I think it will be a nice tradition to start.

| 4. kmdoughert (75) | 3 years ago | We have had an artificial tree since I can remember, and it was always nice because it was easy to put out and it was a fun activity for the family to put it together and decorate. However our big beautiful artificial tree officially died last year and we bought a new one, but because my sister and I are older its pretty skimpy and I really miss having a big tree around. I would love to get a real tree, even though its a bit more upkeep I think the smell and the look of it is so much better. Also, you don't have to lug it out of storage and build it every year, you can just bring it in then throw it out.

5. jeanbug23 (498) | 3 years ago | Anyrthing can be done out of a Christmas tree. It can be plastic or it can be real, and the thing is the spirit of Christmas is right there.

tlb0822 (926) | 3 years ago | That is defiantly true, a tree can be made out of anything. As long as the christmas spirit is there is all that really matters in the end.

6. only1shi (309) | 3 years ago | i actually really love the way that a real tree makes your home feel "christmas-y". however, i have an artificial tree that my husband and i have been using for the past four years. i found out the hard way when i was thirteen that i'm allergic to the real thing. i was stringing the lights with a cousin of mine and my arms brushed up against the tree. in minutes, my arms were covered in a rash. it was pretty nasty. but, if i wasn't allergic, i think that we would probably get a real one.

7. bagumbayan (1749) | 3 years ago | If there are abundant trees that can be used as christmas tree then use it as your christmas tree. After the season, then we can return the tree to where it belong. But if there is no source for a real tree, then make use of the artificial one. Anything that will make us happy to celebrate christmas then we do it. It is only once a year celebration but for me I want christmas to be celebrated everyday. Happy Holidays.

8. highflyingxangel (9012) | 3 years ago | I prefer fake. It's safer, it's better for the environment because you're not chopping down trees, and it really keeps your home cleaner than real trees do. You don't have to worry about having pine needles all over the house, or your pets getting into the water for the tree. I would not consider doing the opposite. I'm happy with our fake tree.

10. emma44 (965) | 3 years ago | a real tree might not be ideal as a christmas tree because it withers away easily, after somedays it starts to loose its leaves and then the tree starts to get dry unlike artificial tree which stays longer
