Flying/ ID Question  

It probably won't cause a problem. My brother flew a couple months ago to Florida and didn't have a problem. My maiden name is regularly spelled wrong in the United States.

It was no problem when he went to Italy and they just laughed and said thats normal America always spells it wrong. He flies often and has never had a problem.

Hopefully it shouldn't be a problem, and I don't think it should be. The only thing I can suggest is maybe to call the airport and ask. They would know better then anyone I think, or email the place that the tickets were purchased. Hope it works out okay!

Since I don't fly, not sure but they will probably let her pass since only one letter is wrong and she isn't flying overseas or anything. Just a short hop.

She'll have her ID with her and I'd like to think it'll be fine but it probably won't hurt to call and ask.

It might not hurt to contact the airline directly before she leaves and ask. I know they can be really tight on things like this but then other's may not think a thing of it. Rather than drive to the airport only to be met with hassles though it wouldn't hurt to check ahead.

I would strongly suggest calling the ticket provider AND airline to find out.
If you don't and it causes a problem, Debbie could miss her appointment with her brother.
If you do you will forlay any problems and the airline will know before you get to the gate that you have looked after the problem.
I don't fly often enough to know exactly what the 'right' thing to do is but in my opinion those are the actions I would take.
The only imformation I have on the problems of flying is what is reported on the news and that seems like nobody is getting away with anything so I wouldn't take the chance.

It probably won't be a problem since everything else will be correct. There are enough things to slow down the travel process without them making a big deal out of the spelling of a name.

I don't think its going to be a problem. Especially on such a short flight from MN to MI. I am just a peon but people always spell my first name wrong. Yong. I have flown and my tickets will say Young. It's never been an issue as long as the rest of the name matches the ticket you should be fine!

After my operation December 28th 2005 for cancer ....The colon cancer was cut away and everything would have been great no more cancer but those silly little tumours flew to the liver and that is why i am going for chemotherapy for almost 2 years now and as i have said never any pain etc etc But to the topic this was the foreplay above I am known as Archie F. for more the 40 years but my real name is begins with a V and for 5 weeks after the operation they never notified me when my chemo would start They had my birthday name V.F. and couldnot find him because everything i signed was Archie F. so that one missing thing did mess up things so indeed a missing letter can screw things up Thats it for today Thanks for sharing and in the words of Arnold I will Be Back
