Oh my goodness!!! It was awesome!! I was at work today and was wondering why there were bikes headed into my town. I was thinking that there had to be some big event going on because of the number of bikes I saw pass by. Come to find out, it was a toy run!! This event was the largest they've had in a while. They took the toys to a home for mentally ill kids. They were even lead by Santa riding his Harley!! lol I love toy runs and if my bike was running and I wasn't at work, I would have tried my best to be in the pack. Me being me and silly as can be..lol...I stood out front and counted all of the bikes as they passed by. Guess how many there were....ok....you ready.......681!!!!!There were all types of bikes. There were custom trikes, of course Harley's, Kawasaki's.....any bike you can think of I believe was in this parade of bikes. It had been several years since I was able to witness something like this and I am just tickled pink!!Sorry to gush guys, but this was just something wonderful and I had to share!!Taz

I live up in the mountains in a town that the highway runs right through. It's in beautiful country and during nice weather I just love it when motorcycle clubs come through town. It's like being able to watch my own private parade! An ex of mine was trying to teach me how to ride his bike. I drove it up to the corner by myself but when I went to make a u turn in the intersection I dropped it and could not pick it back up - and it was only a Honda 350, maybe it was a 450, but whatever, it was too much bike for me! I prefer my mountain bike! Nice and light, easy to maneuver... well I've gotten some pretty good owies on it anyway, but still.

I have yet to take a ride through the mountains, but my club is planning to do it this summer. I wanted to go when the leaves were changing colors, but the weather is not reliable during that time. I applaud you and admire you for being able to watch the bikes ride by. It has always been something that I loved to see. I guess that's why I've been riding since I was 21 and got my own bike when I was 22 or 23 (can't remember which...lol). It's good that you tried to learn to ride a motorcycle, but it's true...they aren't for everyone! Thanks for stopping by!!

There are outlaw clubs in my area and we steer clear of them. They are not too friendly. Thank you for saying I'm brave...lol. I don't feel that I am, just love to ride and once I rode one on my own, I had to have one.

Yeah, they weren't too friendly. That's why that relationship didn't last long. They were always looking for a fight, and I'm not into that at all. Although I have to say, the sense of power and freedom, as we would go roaring through towns where everybody gave us a wide berth, viewing us in fear and awe was a pretty exhilarating feeling. And of course those types that I was riding with feed on that kind of fear and admiration. Thanks for the BR!
