I thought he did a great job as Mayor of NY but after reading and listening to what he has to say I don't think I would give him my vote for President of the US. After reading his web site I sat here saying "so, where does he stand on that?". That's one of the things I hate about all politicians they can say a lot and end up saying nothing. He said he "believes marriage is between a man and a woman. He does not—and has never—supported gay marriage. But he believes in equal rights under law for all Americans. That’s why he supports domestic partnerships that provide stability for committed partners in important legal and personal matters, while preserving the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman."...so what is he saying here? I still don't know where he stands on gay marriage do you? This is just one of the things that has me wondering where he stands and there are many more....you can check it out if you like at http://www.joinrudy2008.com/issues/ It's a very interesting site to say the least....but turn down your speakers...lol.... What do you think about Rudy Giuliani running for President of the US? Have you given him any thought or not?

I have never considered Rudy Giuliani for President, ctry, because I'm not a Republican, and I don't think he projects a strong enough image to become President. His position on some of the major issues is weak(as are most of them). He might have been a fine Mayor of New York, but there is a mighty leap from that office to the highest office in the land.

I usually vote Democratic but like to see what everyone running has to say. Although he's not strong right now I have a feeling out of our choices he may be the best. Not that that makes me happy.

"People weren't impressed with the decision he made after 9/11 and well needless to say he wasn't re-elected as Mayor." He already served two terms as mayor of New York City, so he wasn't eligible to run again. If he could have run, he most likely would have won by a landslide. PEACE

Yes, at the time he was not permitted to run again for mayor, but they were actually trying to come up with some kind of thing to override that and let him be the mayor once again. He would have won handily.

well honestly I like the guy he was great in the 911 emergency,a real new york kinda guy however, in my opinion, he is kinda old and conservative most of the country would vote for a more average midwestern sort of person I think

I sometimes think it's the "older" presidents who bring the most wisdom to the White House...not that they use it...lol...

He was wonderful in handling situations post 9/11. However, he has not turned out to be neither the man nor the politician I thought he was. He is not even in the realm of possibilities for me to vote for him to get the Republican nomination.

He is trying to please the crowds, he says he does not support gay marriages, then he turns right around and acts like he supports them. What i am hearing from him is just a bunch of double talk and trying to be a crowd pleaser..No i don't know where he stands either, and he will never make it clear. To me this is a yes or not answer. We do not need a crowd pleaser to run this country..We need someone who makes his feelings on issues very plain, and he is not doing that.He needs to stand on one side of the fence or the other, you cannot please everybody so he needs to be honest and plain on his beliefs and let the ones that want him in office to vote for him and the ones that do not want him does not have to vote for him.Avoiding a question makes me not like him.to avoid something is like a lie to me...

The way I see it is they either don't give a definite answer or they give very definite answers and then just don't stick to them once they get into office.

"while preserving the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman"....you mean like when he was married to one woman and having an affair with his current wife? Is that an example of the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman?? Seems to me a former President got into alot of trouble for having s*x outside of his marriage. Ah well, the hypocrasy of politics!! To be honest, I was excited when Rudy announced he was running for President. However, I have since decided that just because he was a good Mayor for NYC, doesn't make him a good candidate to be the highest power in the USA. I am actually so sick of politics and the hypocrasy of it all. Unfortunately, all the people running for President talk the talk, but we cannot see if they walk the walk until they are actually elected! I am not really certain who I will be voting for in this election. I am still checking out Ron Paul. PEACE
