Would you like to have camper van? |
| |
| I would really like to have a camper van one day. Most of all I think it would be nice to own one then take it around Europe every summer. At other times of the year I would take it away for weekends to a beach or to a field in the countryside. If I hired one for a holiday I think it would be great to have one for two weeks in South Africa. I would see cape Town, the pretty garden route and go on a safari to the exciting Kruger National Park. I would need four berths, one bed for each of my family. Would you like to have a camper van? How many berths (beds) would you need for your family? Where would you take the camper van if you had one? What would you have inside the camper van? A shower? Thanks. | | | | | |

| | It is my dream too, but my husband always laugh at me when I tell him about the van.But would be nice to go in a summer trip around Europe like you said, cause it is handy and cheap this way. I would need 3 places for sleeping and a kitchen, bathroom with shower of course, fridge and stove . I saw a lots of commercial about this type of vans and they are not very expensive. You could buy one for 50,000 euro, which is not a big price for a new van full option. Maybe someday my dream will be accomplished . | | | | | | |

| | Thanks for your excellent response. I hope that you get a camper van one day and go to many great places in it. I am sure that your husband find it so easy to drive around and always have your own accommodation on hand. I met a few people that were driving around Australia in a camper van. It looked like a wonderful thing to do. I think 30,00O pounds or 50,000 euros is an excellent deal for a camper van with a kitchen and a shower. | | | |

| | I wish I had one of those when I went touring in Scotland back in 2006, instead of my car and a tent! I don't mind getting close to nature or the great outdoors, but when you are flooded, gales and trying to put your tent up in force ten winds, it's no fun! I was up for 5 weeks, I think it got so bad I had to spend a few nights in a hotel! But I loved it and I visited so much of Scotland including Skye it was beautiful and yes I would have been much better in a camper van. I am not confident enough to drive abroad tho' and I would only travel on my own because you can go where you please and do what you please. There is a touch of romany gipsyhood in me to be a true nomadic traveller living in a camper van. The Wolfiemobil! | | | | | | |

| | Oh, the Wolfiemobil sounds fantastic. I hope that you get it one day and get comfortable touring for unlike a tent in rain it doesn't need putting up. Your traveling around Scotland must have been wonderful. I would very much like to visit the islands up there like Skye. The nomadic lifestyle is very appealing I think. Thanks for your excellent response. | | | |

| | growing up we had a volkswagon bus(van) that had a pop up top making it a camper. with the top popped up there were two bunks up there for my brother and I. the back bench seat folded down for a double bed for my parents. the cushion from the other back seat (rear facing one) would fit between the two front seats to make it another cot sized bed. there was a pump style sink and tiny fridge and two pull up tables. this worked out great with two young children, but as we grew we used bigger R.V. campers still I will never forget those fun times in the volkswagon bus camper - we traveled up through all of central america one year (from Panama Canal Zone to upstate NY) and the little native children would point at us and yell hippy hippy, lol. when I was real small we always went tent camping. | | | | | | |

| | Wow! I so enjoyed reading about the childhood adventures you had in the volkswagon van. It sounds like it was very comfortable a bunk each for you and your brother and a double bunk for your parents. Then when you were a bit older it must have been wonderful to have an RV camper. The trip that you did from the Panama Canal up to New York state must have been very special. I am glad that you did much traveling in the camper vans. Many thanks for your excellent response. | | | |

| | I would love to have a camper van of my own... i love to travel but i don't like riding the bus... going to the bathroom is always a problem when i am travelling because i always want to pee... other than that... some drivers are so reckless that it sometimes scare the hell out of me... A camper van would give me an my family the opportunity to go places her in my country in our own pace... and with comfort that other from of travelling cannot give... | | | | | | |

| | Yes, a camper van can offer the convenience of having a bathroom on board. This would make things more comfortable and easy for you. I hope that you get a camper van one day and that you explore your country in it. | | | |

| | I'd love to get a Kombi Camper in the next few years before my boyfriend and I set off around Australia (We live here, but I haven't experienced the whole country). They have a bunk bed, sink and fridge, and we would happily use public facilities (showers, toilets) on stops along the way. =) It would be a travelling home, with a small, but vast amount of clothes, staple foods and appliances, maps and water. =D And some sentimental items from home of course. | | | | | | |

| | Adding a few sentimental items from home would be a great idea. I see that you would be happy for your Kombi Camper to be quite simply furnished. There are many nice stops to stop in Australia where you could use the bathroom. I think Australia is a huge country that has so many places of interest, like gorgeous beaches, interesting cities, the barren outback and beautiful mountains. Going along the Great Ocean Road would be lovely. I hope that you and your boyfriend would have a great time seeing as much of Australia as possible. | | | |

| | Thank you so much, I also hope that we have a great time, and I am very much looking forward to it. Travelling is such a great experience, and I can't wait to do more and more of it (I've definitely caught the travel bug =P) You're so right about Aus, too. It has such great diversity of landforms, culture and people, and I'm excited to venture through it all - and find out which states have the best public facilities =P Have a great Christmas and New Years, however you spend it! =) | | | |

| | Thanks. I hope that you have a lovely Christmas and New Year as well. I caught the travel bug a long time ago. Australia is a wonderful country to explore and hopefully see some of the amazing wildlife. I loved seeing Sydney, Kangaroo Island and the Great Barrier Reef. I found the Northern Territory very exciting in the wet season. A person could tour round for two years and still have lots more to see on their next visit to wonderful Australia. | | | |

| | That sounds lovely. I have seen some delightfully colorful camper vans. There is a garage near me that imports vans in from Japan and turns them into fantastic camper vans. They have a folding top with a bed in it and downstairs a mini kitchen and bathroom. | | | |

| | I would like to have a camper van after my hubby and I retire so that we can travel around through the whole Europe. I would like to have at least two berths so that my daughter can use it occasionally. Obviously, a shower and kitchen are also parts of the main facilities inside the camper van. | | | | | | |
