We always take pineapple chunks, spear them with a whole clove and shove the clove into the Ham. So stick half the clove into the ham, and then push a pineapple chunk ontop of the clove. Then i fill in the empty spaces with more cloves. I pour about.... 3 or 4 cans worth of 7 up, sprite, or serria mist over the ham and bake it. Its really good, we call it our holiday ham and we have it at chirstmas time.

I was outside one day when my neighbour said she had to get inside she had a ham in the Crock Pot. I said, "What? Ham is already cooked. Why put it in the Crock Pot?" She said she puts onion and and a bay leaf on the middle of a sheet of foil, sprinkles spices on the ham and then places the ham right on top of the onions. Fold 'er up in the foil and put it in the Crock Pot with a little bit of water. I've been doing it that way ever since.

I dont like cloves, which is how alot of people cook ham. So I like mine either baked in the oven or in the crock pot, with pineapple chunks the juice and brown sugar and a little butter it comes out so good.

Well this was posted three days ago, but this could be for next time.

This is one of the best recipes for baking ham. After putting on any spices you like for example cloves, put it into a baking pan and pour 1/2 can of soda, (root bear is the best, but any kind will do.) (Also, when you pour the soda, make sure to pour it and cover right away, before the bubbles get out.) Then when it is almost down take the remaining soda and make a glaze with brown sugar to baste it. Cook a little longer without the lid until done..

Trust me, we use to take this to every carry in dinner and everyone went wild over it..:)

When I was a kid my mom always baked the ham with beer poured over it instead of water It was really yummy. I have also used Vernors ginger ale and thought it gave the ham a great taste.

here are some recipes from allrecipes.com
Sangria Ham
SUBMITTED BY: Mary Glenn
"This recipe requires four hours and twenty minutes, and results in the most delicious ham I have ever tasted. Burgundy wine may easily be substituted for the Sangria. and other fruit juices may be added to the blend but the acidity of the pineapple juice and the wine combination is hard to beat for tender moist ham."INGREDIENTS
* 1 (8 pound) bone-in ham with rind removed
* 1/4 cup whole cloves
* 1 pound brown sugar
* 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
* 2 cups sangria wine
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. Use a sharp knife to score the ham 1/4 inch deep in a diamond pattern. Place in a good sized roaster with the fat side up, and stud in a decorative manner with the whole cloves...be sure to use plenty. Pack the top of the ham with the whole pound of brown sugar to coat the surface as thickly as possible. Some may fall off into the pan, but that can not be helped. Leave it there to sweeten the basting juices needed in later steps.
3. Roast, uncovered, until the sugar begins to melt, about 20 minutes. During this time, mix together the pineapple juice and sangria. When the sugar has begun to melt, pour one cup of the wine mixture over the ham, and return the ham to the oven for 40 minutes. I often tent the ham with foil at some point, but my mother never did.
4. After one hour in the oven, baste the ham with a second cup of the wine mixture, stirring it into the pan drippings. Return the ham to the oven for 2 more hours, basting after the first hour with the remaining wine mixture.
5. Lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), and baste the ham every 20 minutes with the pan drippings for the final hour of cooking. A meat thermometer should read 160 degrees F (65 degrees C) before serving.

Bone-In Ham Cooked in Beer
SUBMITTED BY: Lisa
"This is a recipe we have used for the past 5 years. The beer really tenderizes the ham. Using beer is probably a Wisconsin thing. We seem to find many uses for it. But don't worry, the ham will not taste like beer when it is done other than maybe a small hint on the bottom portions. I don't like beer at all, so I was quite skeptical at first, but when I found out that the ham I had at my friend's house for Christmas the year before had beer used to make it, I tried it and have been hooked ever since."INGREDIENTS
* 20 pounds bone-in ham
* 1 (20 ounce) can sliced pineapple
* 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans beer
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease an 18 quart roasting pan.
2. Place the ham, with the fattier side up, in the roaster. Use toothpicks to secure pineapple rings on the ham. Pour the beer over the ham. Place lid on roasting pan.
3. Bake 6 to 8 hours, or until cooked through.
4. Remove the pineapple rings and let sit 15 minutes before slicing.
