Do you enjoy running as a health activity? Or would you rather keep fit in other ways? Personally, I've started training with runs around 5km at least, fortnightly. Somehow after a while, the running becomes quite natural and not too arduous. If you run, how often do you do so? What is your favourite time of day and week to run?

I am quite heavy and it took me a while to get use to the slow jog bug felt good everytime I tried - at most i think i would run 2kms and walk 2 kms. I enjoy walking more than running though.

2. Idlewild (4466) | 8 months ago | Yeah, I love running, I've been doing it for more than 20 years. I've been running in races that long too, and usually prefer races of 5 miles and up. For most races I need to travel at least 45 minutes to get to them, and to run a race of less than 4 miles or so doesn't seem like a good use of time for me. When I go on casual runs around my neighborhood I usually do more than 5K, but it's more based on time. I try to go for 40 minutes or more.

3. lordwarwizard (9033) | 8 months ago | If you are feeling fit (and are lol), I guess you will like it. When I used to train competitively, 5km is considered a very short run. More like a starter. It's like, it ends because it even starts.:P In such case, then yes, running longer is cool. But when you reach your "ending point", then the "when is it going to end" might just kick in.:PP

5. ahgong (1566) | 8 months ago | I have lost contact with my running roots. Now, I can hardly run without feeling any pain afterwards. But running on the thread mill seems to be a lot more gentle on my body as compared to running on the road. Its been a long time since I hit the gym. I guess I have to start again. Sigh... been doing nothing but gaining weight since I started to work. I guess the best time to exercise is in the morning. But I will try to do that during lunch, as that is the only hour in the day I can really call my own most of the week.

6. poohgal (2021) | 8 months ago | I love running. I used to run 2 - 3 times a week. But I recently just straighten my hair, so... aiya.. have not been running for a couple of weeks. LOL I always run at least 5km. I do my runs in punggol park. That's a great place for running if you live near there. I love to run at night when the weather is cooler. I also prefer running on weekdays. Actually any day is fine with me so long as I am in the mood for the run.=)

7. kun2349 (2254) | 7 months ago | i do like running alot and i fall in love with it during my army days:) I run almost everyday alternating between 2.4km and 5km to 7km.. hehe.. Mostly i will run at night because of lesser traffic and lesser ple plus more cooling too:) Wat i wanna achieve now is completing 5km under 20 mins.. Right now, my 5km is 24mins19s:) LOL
