How do I make my own website?  

You can make easy way and can load photo, history etc. as you like for the wedding ceremony for life time free in the site www.freewebs.com

If you just want to make a web site without becoming a webmaster, I think http://www.geocities.com still has their page builder, a drag and drop program easy for beginners to use. If they do, I don't know how good it is but if you want to use them, it's free to sign up.

If you don't want to use a page builder, you can download the Netscape browsers (version 7.2) free and it comes with Netscape Composer, a program for making web pages but it will require a little more knowledge to use.

1st of all you will need some free web host place... Google for free web hosts and you will find one...
2nd you need to get some programs for creating web sites, but you need at last to know html code and something about web sites
3rd are programs, the best is Macromedia Dreamweaver or Frontpage ( coming with Windows normaly ) or maybe you want to make site in flash, than Macromedia Flash Mx
4th is creating. You will need to spent some time on your computer to think about web site that you want to create, and then just create it.
It looks maybe hard, but it isnt soo hard.

I use microsoft office live, and freewebs.com. freewebs.com is what it says - free and very good and easy to use but you have to have "freewebs.com" in your website url. Office live is also very good and you get your own proper doamin name. be sure to choose the free version if you use office live. The choices of style however are not so good as with freewebs

I do my own thing or buy scripts, but I can offer the two free hosting sites that served me well before I started doing my own thing.

You can use 110mbspace or 110mb (I forgot the URL). It has the greatest features as far as I have known free sites around. For starters, it's name doesn't mean that you will be getting around 110m. It's 5GB, you can add features like your own forums, etc.

It also depends how simple or comprehensive you want your web site to be. If you plan on adding video's, plenty of photo's, graphics, comment forms, a few pages with links, etc, then you would ideally need a web editor (some are free as mentioned earlier with a free web host).

A good free editor is NVU http://www.nvu.com/ but you might need a ftp program to upload your site such as core ftp http://www.coreftp.com/ Though a free host might allow ftp on their site to upload your site.

It might be better (if you are new to web site creation and design) and quicker to create a simple blog (e.g. Google's blogger), or use Google pages (Google page creator) to create a simple web or blog site - and to practice with editing, content optimization, etc. Then if you want, you can copy/duplicate everything into a more fully featured free web editor with a free internet host...
