Hippopotamus for Christmas

Has anyone else heard this song? I only just heard it this year, and I can't decide if I like it, or if it drives me crazy. It was written in 1953, and an Oklahoma zoo picked it up to use it as a benefit, to get them a real hippo. The radio station here plays it every couple days or so, and it's one of those songs that is just annoying enough that you cannot forget it. So anyway, have any of you heard it? If not, go to Youtube real quick and search for it, there are at least a couple videos there for it. Now, what did you think?

I really don't mind the actual lyrics and tune, it's the person singing it! that feels like someone dragging nails across a chalkboard My daughter got one of those cards in the mail that sings it, it is really driving me crazy now!

I love that song, our radio station has played it several times this year, you really don't hear it too often.
