Recycling Christmas paper

I'm not advocating what my mother used to do, which is to take each piece of Christmas wrapping paper and see if it was still in a condition that could be used for another year. But I would like to suggest - or see if other people already do this - that we recycle the Christmas paper we've used for wrapping, rather than just throwing it in the rubbish. It only takes a few minutes out of our time, and it means that another lot of paper doesn't go back into the ground. Can I suggest too, that we stop using that shiny paper that's fairly popular? It's not recyclable, and is a real waste.

I used to save each usable piece of wrapping paper but now I don't bother with paper at all all the best urban

My wife's a bit like that....things usually arrive unwrapped ("I didn't get round to wrapping it...")

the wrapping paper is usually ripped off and wrinkled in our house, i don't reuse it, but i reuse christmas bags and gift tags. i make gift tags out of old christmas cards, and sometimes i reuse the tissue paper and i always reuse bows, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Happy Christmas to you too! Yes, our wrapping paper gets very wrinkled and torn, but it should be recyclable by the recyclers here in town, as far as I know! I'll put it in with the rest of the paper and see what happens.
