We went to mediation the day of the trial. They were very silly about what it is that they wanted. We had said we would be willing to make it go away by offering 500.00 and giving back the shelf that we had taken whichc we had already said we were going to take anyway. That was still not good enough. Then they wanted 850 so my husband offered to split the difference, and we were up to $675. They wanted 750. I was so pi$$ed off at that point he asked me if I felt like I was being Bullyied and I said YES! So, we said fine we will go to court. Well they did not serve me correctly so I was dismissed from the case and that left my husband to sort of fend for himself. Basically we handed in our stuff and just said that we felt they had no case at all. They had to end the session and write us back on the verdict. Drum rolll please...... WE OWE NOTHING!!! and they can not bring us to suit again!!!! I guess when you are greedy you can not get your way~!!!!!

No, actually it was about the sale of the house AS IS. They claimed that we had purposely destroyed the house when we moved out and that there was concealment of damages, however, they were talking about the house in its condition from the time we had bought it. The house was remodeled in 86 and was never updated (Not even the appliances) when we bought it in 2004 and sold it in 2006. We sold the house AS IS and they accepted it and then wanted MORE money back from the sale. They also wanted us to get rid of our agent so they could buy it as a LESSER value. We would not do that at all. hey first went after our real estate's office for money and demanded that our agent's comission be paid back to them.

They should have taken your first offer and RAN. I am glad that you ended up not owing them anything. It serves them right by being greedy in the first place. Congratulations.

That is awesome that the court sided with you! They wanted a shelf you said you were going to take with you? that is so petty.
