Yeah, yeah, so he's getting a divorce....big deal huh? But he is an awesome actor isn't he? I've seen a lot of his movies and I think as he got older they got a lot better don't you? My favorite one is Mystic River. Maybe because it was filmed here in Boston....but no that's not really why. I think he did a fantastic acting job in that movie. He was so believable as the father who's daughter was brutally murdered that it brought tears to my eyes!!
Are you a Sean Penn fan? What is your favorite Sean Penn movie and please tell us why!!

Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Duh.
There's nothing better than that. It came out the year I was born.
I do also love I Am Sam though. In all honesty I haven't seen too many other sean penn movies. A few, but not enough to really name them as some great Sean Penn movies.

I like Sean. It is sad to hear about him and Robin. I thought they were great together. My favorite Sean Penn movie is the first movie I saw him in Fast Times At Ridgemont High.I love it when he said. " If I am here isn't it Our time." Classic.

It's funny that I found this discussion now. My husband and I were just talking about Mystic River. Sean Penn's performance was excellent in that. You could feel the pain and emotions. We were saying how different the character was from Fast Times @ Ridgemont High. (Which will always be one of my favorite movies for some reason!)
I never saw I am Sam, but would really like to. I also liked him in a movie I think was called Bad Boys. I remember him filling a pillow case full of cans of Coke in prison.

Sean Penn well yes i do like him, he is a good actor and as you said the older he's got the better actor he has become.I have seen him in a lot of movies but i cannot remember which one was my favorite..So he is getting a divorce huh? Well i did not know that but it is not surprising, those stars and actors & actresses get a divorce from someone all of the time..They fall in love over night and it is a marriage made in heaven, they were soul mates, the whole nine yards and boom before you know it they are in divorce court fighting over who's getting what..I have to say though that i do like his acting skills and i think i would watch any movie that he is in....

I Am Sam was my favorite.
I liked Robin Penn's movies better though as I thought she was more well known. Forrest Gump and Message in a Bottle are two of my favorite movies she does.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that I'm a Sean Penn fan, ctry, but I really did enjoy Mystic River-well enough to have watched it several times and recommended it to others. The other most memorable movie he starred in that I remember, I believe was Colors, circa late '80s. I hate to make snap judgments on people, but I would imagine that he might be a hard person to live with. I was sorry to hear of the break-up of his marriage, though. It's always sad when a marriage ends.
