Lighting Advice |
| |
| I have problems in the computer room with lighting. Have a ceiling fan with lights but it's not really producing enough light when I'm on the computer for extended periods of time. Don't have an outlet close enough to the keyboard to light it up while I'm working here. I do have an extension cord which I ran plug in and use but not comfortable with leaving it connected all the time. Can anyone offer some suggestions on what I can do to relieve eyestrain? Thanks so much and Happy New Year to everyone. | | | | | |

| | A friend of mine had the same situation, it was solved by using the good old fashion swag light. I don't know if you have ever seen one of those wonderful lights. The heavy duty electrical cord inside a chain and hung by a hook from the ceiling or wall. They can be hung at any hight. I hope this was helpful. | | | | | | |

| | I bought a small clip on LED light that shines only on the keyboard and I love it... when it's working. It was cheap... only $3... but the batteries don't last very long and I think new batteries would cost as much as a new light. So I bought half dozen lights! At Miles Kimbell online. | | | | | | |

| | Do you clip it on the keyboard itself? Thanks for responding and Happy New Year. | | | |

| | It clips to the tray holding the keyboard and the light is at the end of a very flexible plastic-over-wire gooseneck that's about 8" long. It lights up most of the keyboard if I am it right. | | | |

| | I just read CatAnna's response, and I agree with her. Those clip on LED lights do wonders when it comes to lighting. They really do help ease the strain on your eyes as well. My house is extension cord city, so I know exactly what you are talking about hon. Happy New Year sweetie. | | | | | | |
