What is an ogre? | | I know they are meant to be nasty (Shrek is a notable exception), but I've got no idea what they really are. What's the definition of an ogre and where do they come from?

Maybe there's also an ogre race in Dungeon &Dragons game, if you are searching for a specific description you can read a D&D manual

I loved him so much in the first part of Shrek. and as far as where have they come from, even i dont have any idea. But i am totally in love with this character.
