Rich or Famous?

Rich!! I'd NEVER want to be famous! Some people crave attention, but not me. Having that kind of financial freedom would be GREAT! It'd be a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, ya know?

As for your examples, it's so hard for me to feel sorry for people who create an image to keep themselves in the spotlight, and then complain when the paparazzi stalk them. They love them when they want to be in the headlines, but then whine when they're still around when they want a break. Can't have it both ways! You have to take the good with the bad.

Nuh-uh! I would rather be RICH than famous. If I were rich, I would concentrate on creating a much more comfortable, luxurious lifestyle for MYSELF, that means that before I become famous, I want to become RICH first.

I'd invest some of my earnings to create more value to others, and that means through my inventions and ideas. I have a whole lot of ideas in my mind, but I have no money to implement them. Luckily I always buy notebooks to draw, describe and scribble them down just in case.

When I am really rich, then I can give myself a much-
needed "upgrade", not just for my whole body, but since i'm a technology person, I would buy myself a better laptop and desktop, an LCD monitor that doesn't go monochrome (one color) every time I try to plug it in, storage facilities for my items, a scanner that's fast and displays clearly everything that I scan, anything that can help free up the clutter in my life.

When I am REALLY rich, THEN i'll decide if I should become famous or not. This is an option that only I can decide because of this reason only:

If I were to be rich AND famous, and I decide to donate money to a charity of my choice, then the media just might have a field day with me and my newfound wealth, and thanks to the media, most of the poor people will want me to hand them money, and they just won't stop. It's as the proverb says:

"Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish, and he eats for life."

So if I were to be rich or famous, I would rather be rich, because i'd prefer to be wealthy in the shadows of anonymity (of being unknown) for as long as I possibly can, and because I want to live the good life without any interruptions and hassles of the outside world.

I would love to be rich. Never famous. I don't want people in my business all the time:)

I wouldn't care to be famous but I wouldn't mind being rich so I could do some good in this world.What a joy it would be to make a difference.The wrong people always win the lottery.People that just squander it and make people's lifes miserable or the greedy most times win the big money.I would love to hear stories of ordinary people striking it rich and then most of it going for things that would really make a good difference.

I would rather be rich then be famous any day. I love my privacy too much and I would hate to give it up all because of being famous. Being rich can't buy love (true love anyway), though it can buy a lot of other things that can normally be out of ones reach. It would be nice not to have to worry about money and just enjoy life with my husband and kids.:)

Both of them very danger....I prefer want to be rich (a bit) because it needed to life...Famous people are just people too!!! To respect them they have to do something really respectable, not just they born and famous...to me!

There is no way I'd want to be famous, rich would be ok, but not to rich if you follow. I wouldn't be able to cope with being famous although saying taht some people are rich and famous and aren't always in the papers or on the news, I guess it depends how you deal with it, Paris Hilton is just plain stupid she loves all the publicity even when she went to prison etc. To be honest I probably wouldn't recognise amany famous people if I passed them in the street. Rich is better in my opinion!

I will choose to be rich, when you are rich you will become famous also. It's nice to be famous because you are rich.^_^

That's a really easy choice. Hands down, I would choose wealth over fame. I am not the most patient person in the world and if I were to suddenly find myself thrust into the public eye and stalked by media I would likely snap and cause someone bodily harm.
I believe in a person's right to privacy above just about everything else. The constant attention and harassment the likes of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton endure would send me over the edge. But then, even if I were suddenly in the focus of the media, I would do all that I could to avoid it, including staying in my house until the fervor died down.
I'm not a huge fan of Paris Hilton either, and yes, like many other young women, she's done some pretty stupid things, but she's not a complete waste of space either. She generates a pretty nice income for herself and I think would do just fine without her Grandfather's money, which she actually won't be getting now. I don't know if you heard, but Byron Hilton (her Grandfather) had decided to donate 97% of his 2.4 billion dollar fortune to charity. So Paris is pretty much on her own. She'll do just fine, I think.
