The show begins with the story of how the Booth Diary lost its 18 pages. During the presentation where Ben was recounting the events that led to the loss as well as the conspiracy to kill Lincoln, a man in the crowd unveiled a missing page from the fame diary. Implicating a possibility of Ben's great-grandfather's involvement in the Lincoln assassination, Ben went in search of the truth to clear his family name. What follows is a action packed adventure of solving clues and mysterious to find the "treasure" to prove that great-grandfather Gates died protecting the secret of the treasure rather than being involved in it. True to the tradition of its predecessor, the movie is full of suspenseful action. Action sequences that really makes you grip your seat in excitement. Adrenaline rushes as they explore the different traps and escape impending deaths in each scene. Honor to protecting the National Treasure runs in the blood of Ben Gates. It was really fun watching the movie. Definitely worth the weekend price to watch it. Will definitely be waiting for the DVD release to add it to my collection!

I guess you were more easily amused than myself and friends. While it was a decent effort, the film relied far too much on the conventions established in the first installment. It did not delve deep enough into the villain (Ed Harris) for us to care about him or really even consider him a threat. In fact, his assistance once they reach Mt. Rushmore is a disappointment. There really is no "Bad Guy" in the film at all. The film has some great moments, especially one between John Voigt and Helen Mirren after they swing across a chasm and land in an embrace. All in all a fair film, but not more than 3 our of 5.

I do agree that more could have been done to build up on the various new characters in the movie. What appears to be a bad guy turns out to be just another fella who wants to carve a name for himself. Like I said in my posts... the show is not as intriguing as the first installment... but it was exciting to watch as well. One of the better shows this season.

For me it is a decent film. Nothing more, nothing less. Compared to the first film, the plot is weak (certainly not as tightly drawn as the former) but the energy is the same and the humor is the same, and overall it's still as watchable as the first. Helen Mirren and Ed Harris were also very good, and somewhat surprising, additions to the cast. Essentially, the movie is on the ridiculous/unbelievable side, but it's worth a watch.

It is definitely worth a watch! There were some facts that were brought up in the movie that I never knew about. For example, I never knew that there was more than one Statue of Liberty. Other than the one in New York, there is another in Paris as well. During my trip, I wanted to go visit it. But the activities were so packed, we had to give it a miss. But I did catch glimpses of it during our tour around town. Pity I could not catch it in time with my camera.

I saw the trailer for this and it looks pretty decent. I thought about going for it and if it has not ended when I next decide to catch a movie, this will be on my hot list. ;)

Well, if you are looking for an action packed movie, this is the one I will recommend. The action sequences are really good. Very much like those adventure games where you have to cross a lot of obstacles to get to the treasure. In fact, from the movie scenes, I am sure they can easily translate it into a game without much problem.

Caught the National Treasure 2 before X'mas....It was an ok movie....not as good as the first movie... The first movie has more mindblogging puzzles and more battle of wits... Well, the second movie I expected it to be average as Nicholas Cage's acting career is going downhill....Actually, I am boycotting ALL future Nicholas Cage's movie from now on :D And I hope there will not be a third one, or at least not with him in it

Yo~~~! Brother chunter! Long time no see yah! How are you doing? I do admit that the second show is not as mind blogging as the first. But the action sequences are really gripping. It was one of those movies that I watch that makes me feels satisfied that I have watch something worth while after the show ended. Not all shows give you that feeling. In fact, movies these days, most times, leaves you feeling like you have been conned into getting the ticket to watch it. So, for what it is worth, it is worth watching on the big screen.
