I did great at the store last night!

I went to the store with a list and a stack of coupons. I was there for ever and ever but I felt like I did so well. I spent $147.54 but $10 of that was for my Mom and $10 was for a movie for the Hubby. The rest was all food for us. I got enoughfood to feed us for the month. I will need to go back one more time to get 2 gallons of milk but other than that we are set. I used $28 in coupons and saved another $76 on store sales. Plus I get $.15 off each gallon of gas for my next fill up. I will be making freezer meals for the next few days.
This $147.54 included Diapers, cleaning supplys and everything we will consume!

Wow! That does sound like a great deal, good job! I can't think of any trips like that that I've done recently but I was pretty proud of myself when I spent only $35 on a quick trip. I don't remember everything but I know $10 of it was one "splurge items" and I got two small birthday cakes for my son I think (my oldest and youngest have birthdays 3 weeks apart and I can't remember which one I was buying for that time) plus several dinners and lunches...I think it was something like 5 days of food. I would have done better but it wasn't a planned trip so I didn't have coupons with me.

With our grocery budget I can afford to go back this month and buy some stock up items that we need so I felt like I did great. Thanks.
