Are you familiar with shirts, shoes and other things that came with the Lacoste brand? It is the famous green crocodile logo that comes with those branded items that people would normally remember.
However, recently, two dentists win the right to use the toothy crocodile on the sign outside their surgery.
"Dentists Dr Simon Moore and Dr Tim Rumney said they chose a crocodile for their logo because the reptile is famous for having a mouth full of teeth."
I find this to be really hilarious! What do you think?

I saw this in MSN news yesterday and couldn't believe that Lacoste sued over this. I might understand if the dentists logo was the exact same drawing, but it wasn't even close! The dentists alligator didn't look one bit like the Lacoste logo. I might be able to see the suit if they were selling knock-off clothing with a similar logo. I think the lawsuit was just plain stupid. Next thing you know, they would be going after the zoo's when they have a sign with a drawing of an alligator on it, or a display at a museum that has a rendered drawing? In my mind, this would be the same thing. I was glad to see that the court system made Lacoste pay for the legal counsel that those poor dentists had to have to fight a big company like that. This whole thing smacks of the same stupidity of the case where Disney sued over logo infringement over some poor daycare center having a picture of Mickey mouse (and a couple other Disney characters) on their playground wall outside.

The crocodile logo of the dentists is not exactly the same as Lacoste's. The dentists' is more of a diagonal view, while Lacoste's is more of a side view. I think this issue was blown out of proportion.
