In high school, whether you are in it now or long gone and graduated, did you dress up for spirit days? For things like homecoming and other games? I had fun doing this and was just curious how often other people do it. It is a major activity at my high school.

For the 4 years of highschool we did this every year. But it wasn't just a day. It was a week full of different activites. It was awesome. Some things that we had was backwards day (wear your cloths backwards), hat day (wear your hat at school), dress up day. (you could wear anything that you wanted as long as it was apprioate for a school. Other activies included kareokee day. Need I say more about that. On the Friday that was the big day. We had what we called a "Gym Riot" the whole school meets in the gym and we tee off against eachother. Not everyone pertakes in these as you have to have a sign up sheet. We used colors as it was alot easier to do. The colors we choose were black (football players) red (cheerleaders) green (other) white (other). So anyway if you were on the black team you had to wear black same with the red and so on and so on. There were 3 judges (as we had 3 principles) and they gave points accordiling to completeing these tasts. First second third and fourth. They had predetermined these points before hand and gave special points for special circumstances Some of the activities included: Eating contest: each team grabs 10 people. The teams stand in all of the four corners. One of the head people of the four teams stands in the middles with a chair and a garbage bag full of 10 different foods. Onions, apple, garlic, anything that you want to put in it. But each team has to have the same foods. When the whistle or scoreboard as we used goes off 1 person from each team runs to the center reaches in the bag and grabs one thing from it sits in the chair and eats it. when completed (must eat it all) runs back to their corner and tags the next person. So on and so on till the end. pie eating contest. 1 memeber from each team could participate (who could eat the fastest.) obstacle race (set up 4 lanes of an obstacle. 4 people have to run in a box with a little whole to see to a certain spot. next have to get down and do the wheel barrel. taking a basketball and shooting a hoop which everyone has to sink a basket (plus other tasks to complete as well) best statue. (you get a time limit to make the best statue on the wall using a member from your team. place them up on the wall with duck tape. (the smallest and lightest person is best to use) be creative as well. well those are just some of the things that we did.. I have tons and tons more over the 4 years of highschool that we did.

Ours last all week too. We change the dress up days every year and we have a pep rally Friday before the game. It's lots of fun. Some of the people I go to school with thinks it's stupid but I think it's a load of fun.
