I never check mine, mostly because i have tried to keep mine clean, but have had the dealeship check it when i went for my van lease and it was excellent.I always pay a credit card which is low now before the due date, actually anything before the due date and get alot of calls for having credit cards with a very high limit, actually more than my boyfriend and he works!I dont, haha.I always pass them up,its a catch to get stuck paying and get behind and then get a bad credit score.Do you know when someone checks for you(dealership, credit card company etc.)your score goes down by a point, yes a point! They told me that, thats why i never check and try to avoid others checking also, thats why i do not apply for things that way it will stay the same and not be affected.:)

I've usually check it once a year. I get my annual free credit report and that's how I check it out. It's a way for me to keep a somewhat close eye on my credit but not checking all the time. I am working real hard to improve it and have made some big steps, but I check it every now and then still. Maybe as I am getting better then I will check it a little more often to keep it higher.

I have never actually checked my score myself. I have seen where you can do it for free but every time I go to those sites, they ask for credit card information so I stop right there. I find out my score when I apply for a loan or something like that. We have credit issues also but I sure can't find a free site to check it without a credit card. I don't want to give them that information and then have them bill me unexpectedly when it was supposed to be free to begin with.

Did you know you can check it free once a year no credit card required at www.annualcreditreport.com? And just in case you can use a debit card on other legit sites.
