Bala! If I am driving on my biks, I normally do not stop or take shelter. I keep on driving, till I reach my destination and if I am coming back to home, there is no question of taking shelter on the way, because I know the moment I reach home, I would immediately change my clothes. Good Post indeed!

Dearest Bala, Summer rains make me blue I love the rains falling on me Camouflaging my tears and cleansing my soul I love the rains after a hot noon When it drips on me And fills me with the fragnance of the soaked earth I love it in the evening When it keeps me away from the sad memories I love the paper boats that the urchins sail Hoping to reach some unknown land I wish I could sail with them too When I am sick, I love to watch the rains from my window I sneak in the drizzle that make me shiver I cough and struggle which makes my mom more jittery I would still love the rains in summers.......

Hi Mimpi, As you wait parched and thirsty the feel of the first cool wind of the rain makes you ecstatic and hopeful. And as the first drops start to fall on you it feels like the words of a friend after a long time. You go ahead and drench in that beautiful feeling. That's how I feel now and your beautiful response made me rant. Please accept my best response.

You can't see where the words and rain drops are coming from. But you know that they are from heaven.

Last year when I was in Rhodes we had a really bad downpour and I've never seen rain like it! I was only in my shorts and vest at the time because the morning was really really hot and suddenly the weather changed! There was a bus stop shelter which I found, there was a dog sitting there too, I had to laugh, although I wasn't too happy when this coach sped past and there was a massive puddle which I hadn't seen so glad to see a shelter I didn't check for puddles and me and the dog were drenched. Gawd knows what the hotel receptionists thought of me walking into the hotel like a drowned rat, or wolf!

hi Bala, discussion on rain wow.....!!!Kuch kuch hota hai........lol. No bala I don't run for shelter when it rains, specially when it is the first rain of the season, I love to get wet and feel the rain drops on my face closing my eyes....I like to get drenched deep inside my heart, inside my soul. I love looking at trees and leaves which turn more and more green as the yearly dust washes away leaving them clean and green. It is fun to watch little children running here and there and playing in the rain water. Can we ever forget those little paper boats......and lets not talk about rain and romance......lol, lets talk about garm garm tea and hot hot bajiya.......do you enjoy it or not.....by the way what are your feeling in rain....is it the same .....kuch kuch hota hai......lol

Singing in the rain - What is more beautiful than the rain.
Hi Apsara, I always like the rain.It is pure, and refreshes your soul. The nectar from the heavens. What do I feel?I always remember Rajkapoor Saab,Nargis in Awara and Gene Kelly in Singing in the rain.

Well, I hate getting sick ,so I always seek shelter when is raining. I only like the sensation of being wet on the shower, the pool ,or the beach.

hello again bala! When I was still a kid, I loved the rain and will try to sneak out of the house and have fun getting drenched. But now that I'm an adult, I always make sure that my umbrella is ready at the first sign of a downpour. I can't risk myself catching a cold when I could have prevented it in the first place. And besides, I think I may look a little funny if I will get myself deliberately drenched in rain when I could have run to the nearest shelter. :)

Hi little bird, i think that it is a myth that colds and are caused by sitting in a draught, getting cold, or being caught in the rain. You normally catch a cold by touching something with the cold virus on it, and then touching your nose or eye. You can also catch colds and flu by breathing in viruses directly from someone sneezing near to you.

No way. When it starts to rain, I love just getting outside and soaking myself in the rain. There is something about the rain that I love being in it as soon as it starts to even sprinkle a little bit. The last time it rained here in our area, I actually walked out of my workplace and went outside to stand in the pouring rain. I love the rain, even if a lot of people I know do not like it. I think it feels so great when the rain drops hit me.

That is why I like this quote about the rain always. “Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain”

I use to play in the rain and splash in puddles when I was younger. However, now that my Asthma has gotten worse, I need to stay as warm and dry as possible. But, it would probably still be a lot of fun to play in the rain as I am just a big ol' kid.
