Odd Waking Up in the Morning

Weird subject, right? I mean, most people can do this so what's so different about this topic?
Here's why I find it weird.
During college, I always have a hard time waking up early in the morning. I know I have to set aside two hours just for traveling to our school so I should have another hour just to eat breakfast if there's something like that available at the table and prepare myself in going to school, set up things and take a bath, those kinds of routines.
Now that I don't go to college often, just a few times in order to complete studies and the following days would be vacant since I'm still looking for a job in some way, I can wake up early.
Before, I can hardly convince myself to get up early in the morning. Now, I tend to wake up early even though I simply have no obligations or commitments to handle later on the day.
I find it annoying to some extent since I should be sleeping more and even more since I have the chance to do so but no, I just suddenly wake up early and find it hard to sleep again.
Has anybody experienced something similar to this? How did you handle this? Share your thoughts if you have any.
Thank you!

From the time I was in Junior High through High School I was more of a night time person
I was tired during my first classes, and would always stay up for the Tonight show and Late show movies.
Since graduating I for the most part worked evening and night shift. My scheduled hours usually were 4 to midnight, with a couple of midnight to 8am jobs.
I am usually asleep during the morning hours and wake up after noon. The problem is everyone else is up in the morning and too often I am awoken and then I have trouble getting back to sleep.

I think I'm also becoming a night person but I think I shouldn't be like that for I don't know what schedule I'm adapting since I particularly have nothing to be obligated with at the moment ^_^;
I too get that trouble when my sister's phone with that alarm of her's goes off. I tend to get awake with that more than her. .
