Introducing the myLot Digest!  |

 For the past couple of weeks, we have been testing a new feature called the myLot Digest. The myLot Digest is a daily newsletter sent to your email address that summarizes the most active discussions related to your interests over the past 24 hours. The myLot Digest is only sent to verified myLot members who have "Subscribe to newsletter" checked on their account information page.
So far, the response to the myLot Digest has been overwhelmingly positive!
If you do not currently receive the myLot Digest, then go to your account information page and select the checkbox next to "Subscribe to newsletter". You will then be eligible to receive the myLot Digest within 24 hours. You can unsubscribe from the myLot Digest at any time by unchecking this same box.
Since the myLot Digest is personalized for each user, it is also critical that you spend some time and select as many interests as possible. In short, the more interests you have, the more value and enjoyment you will get out of the myLot Digest (and the rest of your myLot experience, for that matter!) To add and edit your interests, simply go to the interest management page and start clicking away!

| simonpaul (524) | 10 months ago |  even though i love the idea of mylot digest i still do not give my full joy to it because to me it only promotes the hot topics of that day, its is like taking from the poor and giving to rich, what more it people who hardly get response looses there responders since their topic of discussion is not amonge the hot topic of that day. the d igest concept should be made to incoperate all sorts of discussions and not just hot topics.

| pratap3463 (8) | 10 months ago |  i think its a gud idea... but a little problem involved tooo when we subscribe this digest.. and if we are out for say about 4-5 days.. then there is a heap of such messages.. so this leads to piling up of the digest... and hence coz a disinterest to the issue/digest.. so plz check up that... and everything excepting that will make us happy..:) keep rocking my lots..

| 8. oneandonemakesix (24153) | 10 months ago |  I have seen the digest, but I have not subscribed to the news letter, I think a digest is a good idea for some, however many don't want the emails, or prefer the individual emails.
I prefer the individual emails, but I'm glad to see that mylot thought about having a digest....I remember putting up a post about this several weeks ago, and I think its a good idea for those who don't like email clutter.

If I may, I'd like to resuggest two that have been requested time and again. I believe both will contribute to the overall harmony of this site.
1. Provide a notice to the poster when a discussion is deleted, specifying the reason for deletion. And, provide the ability for the poster or a respondent to protest a deletion decision. This implies communication back from the MyLot staff/administrators.
2. Discontinue the ability of members to rate discussions that they have not personally contributed to. This would drastically reduce the anonymous negative ratings campaigns that have pervaded this site. If someone feels strongly enough about a topic that they take the time to rate it, then surely they feel strongly enough about the topic to respond to it, right?
