Has e-bays prices gone down?

I like to see the mylot ads on ebay and see what is on auction. The prices look really low I mean $0.01 for a plain white CD! That is seriously cheap. I also heard that the prices aren't acctually gone down and that they are tricking you.
Could anybody that knows what has happened to their prices tell me if their prices are low or are these just fakes to get people to sign up?
What do you guys think?

I got an email that said their listing prices are going down and I think that's because so many people have closed their accounts and there are new auction sites popping up every day that don't charge for listings. The thing about the new sites is not a lot of people know about them and it's hard to sell anything.

That is true, but the prices are so amazingly low! I just cant beleive it.
