What REALLY Works?  

Do you let lemon slices sit on your face, or you just squeeze the juice out and rub that on your face. You leave it on for 30 minutes and then just wash it off? How fast did it work for you? Thanks

I rub them on my face with the juice and let it sit for 30 mins and then i wash them with hypoallergenic soap. I also put them on some dark spots such as elbows and feet to make them smoot and whiter. its erally effective.

Oh! I defeniatly have dark elbows too, I hate it! So rubbing lemons on my face and elbows can help me!? yay, thank you!

Okay I just wiped lemon juice all over my face =P It burns a little bit but I bet that's natural! lol. How long does it usually take to start seeing a difference?

Sorry...i forgot to tell you that i does burn but its just a very mild burning unless you have very severe lesions or acne on your face. anyway, i saw results on my face after one week. The dark spots disappeared and my pores became smaller as i continue to use it. However, I put some one intervals in using calamansi after a week of continuous use daily.

It wasn't that bad when it burned, and after a little while I was able to forget about it. One week! That sounds great! I hope it works that fast for me! Thanks :)

I drink a lot of water! Almost with every meal, I drink it every night at work- a lot of it =)What kind of vitamins or natural remedies should I take? *Any little bit that helps! A couple of weeks is not that bad for me, since I've had blemishes for years now!

Use a honey mask on your face at least twice a week. Honey is a natural antibacterial agent. Try to find honey that is produced in your area. It is made by bees that gather polin in your area.
A good multivitamin is all you need. The best ones are prenatal vitamins. You don't have to be pregnant to take them. They will also make your hair and nails grow, but a regular mulitvitamin is as good. Make sure the vitamin has zinc in it.
Eat a lot of fresh veggies, especially carrots.
If you can get away with it, don't wear makeup at all for a while. Let your skin breath. If you have to wear makeup, be sure and wash your face before you go to bed. And make sure your pillow cases are clean. What ever you do - don't squeeze the pimples or anything. Clean them with a mild soap and warm water.
While treating your acne, your face might seem to break out more than normal. This is okay. It's just the natural remedies taking hold, kinda like cleaning your skin from the inside out. It might take more than just two weeks, but soon you will see your face begin to clear up.
Remember, clean, clean, clean.......

Okay, just a plain honey mask? I actually heard that before. I used a honey/alovera mask and it seemed to help my face within a couple of days. But I didn't think just honey worked, that's good to know because we don't have any alovera left lol. And mulitvitamins! I'll watch for that too! =P

I forgot to say. It really is hard for me to keep my hands off my face, because sometimes it just itches sooo bad! And I know that's bad for the acne, but it's hard not to scratch when my face itches!

I really think the face touching makes acne worse. I touch mine a lot mostly because it's irritated (hurty or itchy.) I'll have to try the aloe vera too. So tonight I'll try the lemon AND the aloe. LOL.

Does Aloe Vera help it to stop itching so bad??? O.o

I am sure that somewhere you could get witch hazel somewhere online, but the best place to get it is any drug store. They sell it near the rubbing alcohol. It may be harder to find because not many use it these days, but its usually around there.

Wow those are some pretty big side effects. I don't plan on having my own baby. If I ever had a child, I would adopt. But still...big side effects hehe.

I'm not sure but I think what you are referring to is Accutane. I used it for about 6 months when I was 16 and it made a huge difference! Yes, there are serious side effects but it was worth it. For me the worst part was the extremely dry skin.

Accutane does have a the side effect of causing birth defects, but that's the reason they make you go on birth control when you're on it (if you're a girl, that is.) You have to stay on the pill for a year after you quit taking it or it could cause birth defects. After that you're supposed to be fine for having kids. Just wanted to clarify that little point!

Wow! That is quite the process! And I've never heard of some of those products! I'll have to look them up. To close the pores when you're done, couldn't you also put a cold washrag on your face for a minute? =P

Queen Helene is a major national brand that works wonders. I don't know why it isn't more widespread. I discovered it at Family Dollar here in the Midwest region, but I've also seen it at Kroger grocery store. It usually runs about 2.50. Also the pore cleanser vacuum thingy you can usually find at any dollar store. Like Dollar Tree, 99 cent center, or whatever variation you may have where you live. You will only be out of about $10 altogether if you were to buy everything at once.

Oh, and I thought I did explain it, but I do use cold water washrags to close the pores.

I do basically the same thing- this stuff is cheap and really works!

Do you know the name of this little vacuum thing? I've never heard of that!

I think its called a pore cleanser, but I am not really sure. Its a long, hand-held thingy with what looks like a suction cup on the end.
