Cher is coming out of retirement! Anyone else as happy as I am?

I'm getting ready to go to bed and found this artcle on aol news and haven't been this psyched in years! I was a huge fan of Sonny and Cher back in the day and followed her right to the end when she retired from touring in 2005. This woman has been singing for 44 years and is 61 years old. I'm sure I won't get to see her since it seems that she's going to just be doing shows in Las Vegas but I'm still thrilled that she's coming out of retirement even to do that. Tina Turner was always an awesome performer but had so many personal problems that it's no wonder she retired. I recently saw her on one of the entertainment shows but I don't think she mentioned coming back any time soon. She's not a spring chicken any more!

I've always been a real big fan of both sonny & cher...I remember faithfully watching their show all the time
I was watching an interview with her just late last night. She doesn't look "bad" but even she poked fun of all the cosmetic surgery she had and even said she hates the idea of getting old...but heck...not bad looking for 61, right? I kind of figured she wouldn't stay in retirement...I always inwardly smile when some celebrity says they are retiring...cause sooner or later you just KNOW they'll be back

For some reason I thought for sure Cher would actually stay in retirement. Maybe it's because of her age and all it must take for her to put on her shows. I remember watching their shows too and always enjoyed every one of them.

Cher is really a very good singer and admire her wonderful voice. It is a shame that she retired before. This just shows the best singers last long even if they are old already. Sonny and Cher was the best. Wish Ican go to Vegas to watch her shows.:)

I watched the interview she did yesterday and was quite thrilled. She is a great singer and has been missed. I am hoping to see her in Las Vegas, but not right away as I'm sure her shows will sell out fast.

Wow, I know there's no way I'll get to see her in Vegas between living in Boston and the price of what the tickets would probably cost I don't have a chance in hell. Hopefully they will be shown on tv eventually.

Oh yeah I do like Cher too.i use to watch her and sonny as a child,and loved their jokes and "Ive got you babe" My daddy could not take his eyes off her and mmy mom use to get so mad,(she was jealous) haha...Thats good that she is making a come back.have you seen any of her movies??/i think i have seen them all..i remember when Sonny got killed she was so upset and devastated, and I can relate to that..I am a Cher fan too.........

I hate to admit this but when I was dating my first husband people used to say he looked like Sonny...and he did! The bad part about that was he didn't especially like Sonny and Chers music...lol...

She has sounded the same since the first song she has ever sung. I like her music but I don't think I will be running out to buy her new CD.

Maybe sounding the same is what the big 'draw' is. She's a very talented woman and I think the 44 years in show business has proved that. Not everyone likes the same performers and we all have reasons for our likes and dislikes of them.

Cher has always been one of my favorite artists. She has an great voice, touching songs and a wonderful inner strength. Looking at her it's unbelieveable that she is 61 years old 
I'd love to see her concerts but don't know if I'll ever get the chance.

Cher is probably one of the all time greatest female singers! She has done well both as a duet and as a solo artist. she is a well known name and she wasn't a one hit wonder. Cher is beautiful and always has been. It is hard to believe that she is 61 years old but she looks great!
She has also done well with some acting that she has done so she is multitalented as well. I am glad that she is coming out of retirement and I am going to try to talk my husband into a trip to Vegas.
