Yikes!! a big centipide in my sister's room!! | | Oh boy!!Yikes!! i hate any crawling creature specially snakes and centipides... even worms i don't like touching them (even the little ones.lol!!)
My sister have this boxes that got wet during heavy rain and forgot to clean it up... She gets lazy and just let it dry up until sunny days. I hate the smell of it, but she does this mopping, sweeping and finally had the time to clean it up her room this morning. She does this general cleaning every once a month ( i can't stand it, i had to help her, she needs to clear up everything, the closet, the boxes, her shoes and unused clothings that got wet during rainy days (when was it? like amonth ago) so there we were sweeping and taking everything that got wet and there it was a big centipide (maybe giant)!!gosh it was huge!! we just screamed, we were lucky it was a meter away and it was crawling towards my sister i was able to stop it with a mop head and called papa for help...
Whew!!I was just glad that we're all ok, my sister was shocked to see that, she was so scared, now she got the lesson of not cleaning her room regularly... Have you had experience such as this one or other insects or even snakes in your old boxes or unused clothes found inside the house? If yes, what did you do?

| | 2. raijin (6727) | 2 years ago | Well since the sun did came up here in my place, I decided to give our dogs some bath. They stink already, since nobody dares to clean them. As I was giving them some shower, I saw something crawling on the walls. And when I take a closer look at it, it was a huge tick!. I scraped it off the walls, then grabbed a big stone and crushed it with full force!;)
I'm not that afraid of seeing it, but it's the thought of them going inside our house is what triggered me to smash it with anger. But if it's crawls on my body, then I'm sure I'll jump all-over the place since I don't like it touching me!LoL

mycharm88 (753) | 2 years ago | Oh yes dear, i hate those too.. i would've done the same if i see one.lol! we use to have a neighbor who has 3 dogs and all dogs have ticks. The owner would them prepare a bottle with a gasoline in it and one by one she would pull those huge ticks by hand and slip them inside the bottle to die...grossy right? That's just the way she kills them.hehehe
| |
|
|
raijin (6727) | 2 years ago | I'd rather use the gasoline for a worthier purpose, I just like the way them ticks blow out everytime I smash them!;) Kind of violent, but I feel satisfied doing it!;)LoL

what do i do when i see something like that?? whack 'em. smash 'em. step on them. kill 'em. kill. kill. kill. LOL well, that only goes for crawling insects like centipedes, cockroaches, and those little black insects that you can find in between book pages or papers that haven't been opened for a long time. as for snakes, thank goodness i haven't found one in some of our old things when cleaning. if i see one i would probably run away.^__^;;

| | 5. nemarr (6) | 2 years ago | Nice story lol! I had a similar experience but it was much much MUCH terrible..I was about to have a shower in my bathroom, which get cleaned everyday.. I took off my clothes, and i entered into the shower. It was then..i saw the most horrible, disgusting, dangerous creature i've ever seen...a SCORPION! omg. i couldn't move i was frozen. I didnt noticed it when i first entered, but then i heard a strange crippling noise near my feet. it was HUGE, and i do mean HUGE! i never saw a scorpio in my whole life and i alwyas thoguth they were black and black only . This one was kind of..white? Anyways.. I didn't know what to do! I think it was as scared as i was..i got out of the shower, went to my room and grabbed a pile of books. Went back to my shower and i killed him. disgusting. I wondered for like two days where it could come from . Then i read on the internet that scorpions could get inside your bathroom through the shower hole. disgusting!!

akuseru (1947) | 2 years ago | I think I would have freaked out over a scorpion in my bathroom, too. I've never found one inside my home, but we find them every time we move heavy things in our yard. The biggest one I've seen was about five inches long, but my parents found one at their house that was about seven or eight inches long. I don't mind the big ones, actually, but I did have to say no when my husband asked if he could buy one at the pet store. It was one of the big black emperor scorpions... really neat looking, but NOT something I want to have in my house!
It was probably very good that the scorpion you found was so big, though. I hear that the little ones are more poisonous, and they're harder to see, too. You might not have heard a smaller one down there by your foot.

| | 7. writersedge (4465) | 2 years ago | I worked at a job where the centipedes came out at night. We kept sweeping them up and putting them outdoors. But I'm not sure if they bite. I don't mind things as long as they don't bite or aren't a health problem.

| | 8. akuseru (1947) | 2 years ago | We find lots of centipedes in my parents' house. What I do with them depends on how big the centipede is, and what it's doing when I find it. If it scares the living daylights out of me by crawling out of my shoe or doing something else creepy like that, it's going to get squished. If it's just sitting on the floor, or crossing the room, I'm more likely to put it in a jar and take it outside. I can't stand killing them if I've spent time looking at them, because they really are kind of neat. lol
