For years I have snored and no matter what I did it never helped. I did a sleep study and was told that I do not have Sleep Apnea. Which was fine but I still had the problem of the snoring. This has gone on for years. My brother-in-law told my husband about Claritin because my husband was all stuffed up constantly. So he tried it and he doesn't have the stuffed nose and he feels good now. Well, after he had been taken it for a couple of weeks he told me I aught to try it. I have been using it a week now and my husband told me I don't snore now. I feel great and am amazed that a tiny pill like that has made the difference.

Do you have to have a prescription to get this? My husband used to snore really bad because he can't breathe when he lays down because he has had his noce broke twice. He hasn't done it alot lately, but we don't have insurance either is why I ask.

No I bought this over the counter. I didn't buy the brand name. I bought the generic because that was $4.00 and the brand name was 20.00. All I know this has worked for me and I am happy about it because without snoring I am getting a good nights sleep now.

Oh ok. If my husbands snoring worsens after some time, I will have to try some of that. He really hasn't done it for quite some time, but he used to do it alot and it was very loud and kept me awake. Thank you for the information. It is nice to know that we don't have to have a prescription for it.

you should never take anything willy nilly like that, claritin is an anti histamine, to kill alergies, colds etc, after awhile the body builds up antibodies against the medications and you become ammune to treatment, so when you might need the stuff it will no longer work. Always consult your doctor first to see if it is safe to use medication on a regular basis like you are doing.

I already have a appointment with my family physician and I am going to talk to her about this. It is this week on Friday. I have been taking it for a week.
