I only let movie reviews affect me sometimes. The onyl critics i really listen to are my friends. Those are the people who know what i like and if its a good movie for them 9 times out of 10 its a good movie for me.

Yes if i feel as though i would like to see a movie i will watch the reviews to see how i feel about it..But i sometimes feel as though i would enjoy the movie anyway sometimes...So i do not completely rely on the reviews...I have not seen the reviews on Fools Gold....If i was not sure about the movie i would ask people who has seen it and get their opinion as well.........

I mostly make my own judgments. Usually if the critics hate something, then I like it and vice versa. I do not get to see many movies anyway.

I get a movie review newsletter every Friday from the Toronto Star Newspaper. They rate and review the movies that are coming out that weekend. When Wild Hogs was coming out they gave it a one star. We went to see the movie that very same night. I couldn't believe with a cast like that and as funny as all the clips I had seen were that the movie was that bad. And it wasn't! It's the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. In fact, I really think there should be a category in the Oscars for funniest comedy because comedies never win Oscars. Only movies with substance. Come on! We all need a good laugh once in awhile.
I rarely read the movie reviews of movies I plan to see. If I'm going to see them, I'm going to see them. Period.

No I never pay any attention to reviews. I form my own opinion on almost everything in life. Actually the movies that get bad reviews I usually enjoy and cannot understand why they got a bad rap.

I have to admit the movie reviews I've read does affect which movie I am going to watch. I just watched Hancock a few hours ago, I've read the reviews and it's been rated so low on the tomatometer. But I was entertained nonetheless. I liked the storyline.

It really depends on who is doing the review. Mostly I pay attention to specific things said about the plot just to get a sense of what the movie is about and whether I'd be interested. And, of course, there are certain actors that I prefer and will see their movies regardless of the reviews.
Sometimes after I've seen the movie I agree, but often don't.

Either the movie reviewers are that boring or I have a weird taste in movies cause whenever they give bad reviews on a movie, I end up liking it and when they rave about another movie, I end up finding it very boring or hating it. Therefore, I don't even look at the reviews and just go by my instincts whether I'll like a movie or not b4 deciding to watch it.

I think that depends if you like reviews. Personally I like to read a bit about movies even if I don't plan to see it. Sometimes the reviews are so creative and you get to look from a professional perspective; that is if you are reading from expert critics. It may affect my decision to see the movie, but I'd take that advice only from my most trusted critic. And if the movie has some actors & actresses I like I may watch it even if the review says it's not so good.

Yeah I usally check reviews on movies. I go to atthemoviestv.com to listen to ebert and ropert reveiws on movies because I think there the best critics around. I usally agree with most of there reviews. I also go to amazon.com to read what regular people have to say about movies or videogames I want to buy and if there more good reviews then bad then I would buy it.

Hi estherlou! Sometimes i do and sometimes I don't. But most of the time, I really don't read reviews or watch the reviews. What I watch is the preview or trailer of the movies and if it impresses me on its very short trailer or spark my interest, then I will try to see the movie. Just my thoughts. take care and have a nice day! :)

I tend to ignore movie reviews as I find them unreliable. I rely on my own judgement when choosing films, based on the actors, the story and at times the movie preview. I have seen some brilliant films that I thoroughly enjoyed after hearing of them being given negative reviews in the media.

Not really. There has been lots of movies that i read were bad and turned out to be good or at least halfway worth watching. And then there have been movies that i read were really good and turned out to be just a waste of time.

I don't pay attention to reviews. I form my own opinion on whether I like a movie or not. If you think about it the person who is just giving his opinion on the movie and is his/her point of view. I don't even know the person writing the review so I don't let him/her ruin the movie for me. In most cases I have enjoyed a movie that a review said that it was a bad movie.

No, I don't pay attention to the reviews. It all started when my mom and I went to see a particular movie some years ago. She had dropped my sister off at the theater to see a Sixteen Candles with her friends. My mom asked me if I would like to see a different movie since we were already there. I was hesitant, but went anyway because my mom really wanted to see this movie due to it having won several awards and had a bunch of reviews so she thought it had to be good! LOL Well, to both of us we found it rather boring and we were sorry we stayed to see it. Since then I don't bother seeing if a movie has reviews, because there is always the chance that it won't do any good anyway! :P
