Today it is so cold outside that I actually put a hat on when I went outside. I don't normally wear a hat, I really don't like them. I lost the habit when I was a young teen, nobody in school wore them, it was totally uncool. My mother would fuss at me, so I would put it on then take it off after I left the house. My grandmother would really fuss when any of us would show up at her house without a hat on. She was so afraid we would get sick. So we would put hats on before going to her house just to keep her from worrying. So do you wear a hat in the winter? I don't wear a hat and I rarely even wear gloves, I find they make it hard for me to do things.

32F doesn't seem cold to me, now when it gets down to the teens, then I sometimes wear a hat and gloves.

In winter, a nice warm woolly hat that was knitted for me by my mother about twenty or thirty years ago. Pure wool, very hard wearing and very warm. Otherwise, I don't usually bother to wear a hat the exception being if it's very warm and sunny (not often here in the UK) I'll wear a soft brimmed safari hat to keep the sun off my head.
