Do you read all of the instructions or only when you are confused?

We bought a computer chair that required assembly. My son just dove in and started assembling the chair. He only looked at the instructions if he was confused. Do you do this or do you read all the instructions?

There are instructions included with things like this? HAHAHA! Men don't read the instructions too often. I have no idea why but we don't most times. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It doesn't have to be. But it seems that most men refuse to read instructions for some reason. If you wish you may also forego the instructions as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Yeppers Grampa Bob, I remember a bigwheeel that my husband and brother put together one Christmas eve for my oldest son. My kid was so excited on Christmas morning and could not wait to get out side to ride his new bigwheel, one trip down the sidewalk and the back wheels were flying off and the thing falling apart. You betcha men do not read instructions LMAO

I never read the instructions. Then when something doesn't fit right or I get frustrated because it won't do what I think it should do I throw the whole thing, box, book, and all and my sweetie and he fixes it. LOL

I bought an entertainment/bookshelf many years ago and read the instructions as it was over 150 pieces. laying the pieces out in numerical ordor took up 2 rooms of my house. HAHAHA! Took me an hour just to sort things out. Maybe that's why I pass on reading them unless I get stuck etc now days. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

LOL I am one of those ppl that try it myself first and then resort to the instructions. In my defense I have a really hard time following written instructions. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Usually I will. I will remember at least the main things and what I need to use the chair.

I always read the instructions as I go along. Sometimes it isn't exactly clear how things should be assembled until you see what the instructions are. It'd be a lot more work to begin to put together an product only to realize you messed up because you neglected to read the manual and have to take it apart.

I scan all of the instructions first and then separate the pieces parts for easy assembly. Lots of things are pretty much self explanatory, but there are some things that need to go together in a certain way and in a certain order. Nothings worse than getting almost done with a project and you have to take it apart again because you missed a necessary step. (Putting together my grandbaby's crib is the example I'm thinking of here in my mind. Crib: sounds easy...but you have to get this one piece on first or the side rails won't go up and down, they'll just be stuck there unable to move. Grrrrrrrr...the ONE time I didn't read the whole directions and I really should have! lol!) Some people do have an innate sense of where things go, but usually that's when they've put something similar together before.

I read the instructions, but my son and husband don't. I have to read them for them after it takes a long time to do. They could be done so much faster if they would just read them to begin with.

Out side of electronics and computers, I must read directions Cnurse, all those parts and pieces look intimidating to me. I hate jigsaw puzzles so for me I have to be told how a and b fit together.

From past experience I now read the instructions first, I don't want to find out later when I am finished that I missed something or messed up and have to take everything apart and start all over again.

I read the instructions. I read them on everything, toothpaste tubes, hairspray, conditioner, curling irons. . . I love reading instructions! So, you can imagine, if I read instructions on toothpaste tubes, you GOTTA know I read instructions on building or putting something together!

Being a girl I read the instuctions as I go along in putting something together. Now my son when he puts things together he just opens the box and gets going. He is just like that I think that is a man/boy thing. My dad's rule was "When in doubt read the instructions. If you know it or think you know how to do it do not read the instructions." hahahaha
