How do you celebrate valentine's day? Or do you not celebrate at all?

I personally think V-day is just a Hallmark Holiday and so we don't buy each other expensive gifts. Instead, we usually celebrate by making dinner and dessert and that's it. We sometimes go out for a good meal, but regardless of how we get our food, we eat! Maybe we rent a movie, or just lounge around watching TV. Some people don't think you should celebrate V-day at all because it is a Hallmark Holiday, however I do think that it makes life more romantic if you have a day set aside to celebrate each other. Although advertisers try to get you to spend 100s of dollars on this day, I don't buy into that. So how about you?

As we both felt it is the day to show our love to our near and dear ones, we celebrate it as a day of love. There is no special gift or materialistic things shared. But it is love that we share with each other. So no big celebration etc. etc.

That's great that you share your love on that day! I still enjoy my box of chocolates :-D But I don't need a 10 lb box with flowers and teddy bears and jewelry. Just one small thing is great!!
