The second coming  | |  When I think about the second coming of Jesus Christ as prophesized of in the Bible I always think of all the destruction and negative stuff that is mentioned. Which makes me wonder, are there any positive things that are suppose to happen leading up to the second coming?

The earth itself will become a paradise & all our dead loved ones will be resurrected never to die again. There will be no sickness, no hunger, no violance, no hate, & no more war. I know it will be great once Christ comes again but what good things can we look for leading up to the second coming? | |

- we really don't learn anything unless we live through it anyway.. so all are witnessing how apart from god all things are apocalypse.. the opposite of Life is death.. We are all learning good from evil/ Life from death.. God is both Life and Perfection.. imperfection is the opposite of life.. man's empires, unavoidably, can only fall..

| | | 3. flowerchilde (5793) | 7 months ago | In Rev 14, when it talks about the fruit of the earth being reaped, there are two harvests or reapings.. two crops so to speak.. two things which have become fully ripe.. the bad, and the 'good' (fruits). This is the same as the parable Jesus taught, saying wheat would be gathered into barns at his coming and sticks would be gathered into bundles.
- But let me point you to Daniel 12, verses 11 and 12 (as they cross-reference with Daniel 9:27-but only in some translations! nas,amp) - The world makes a "covenant"/"league" of peace for seven years, round about the middle of the seven years, the 'world peace' is broken with Israel and her "daily sacrifice" or place of daily prayers, is "removed"/"carried away" and done away with. Three and a half (hebrew) years after we see this happen on the news, the 666 apparatus will be "set-up" and will hum for 45 days, the last "ten days" being the critical ones where one is executed for not adhering to 666.
- Why am I babbling on about this? I have no idea.. Just felt like it, I guess. Everyone thinks there will be seven years, or at the very least three and a half years of unmitigated horror.. Not so. The 666 will be man's last genocide. It will be great, but it doesn't last near as long as we think.. In 70 a.d. the followers of Jesus remembered how the Lord had said, when you see thus and thus (the abomination, in that day Rome's banners on the temple.. in the 'last' days, the 666 abomination) set-up, head to the hills.. They did, and none were lost in the razing of Jerusalem in 70 a.d.
- Check it out and do the math.. it's a great riddle if you like riddles.. Daniel 12:11,12 "happy the one who makes it to the 1,335th day!" Happy? why happy on that day? | |

| flowerchilde (5793) | 7 months ago | I see I did stray a little.. my original point is.. the good fruit gets better.. Some of the good fruit is pretty awesome right now! In our hearts, etc.. I think there will some powerful, albeit humble and down home, miracles going on.. I think*many are going to 'see the light', but in quiet ways.. and there will be much joy.. even while the cracks in the world continue to widen..
- I do know when I read the prophets, there's a lot of bad prophecies.. but also there's lots of "in that day" thus and thus which are very good prophecies.. it's like cursing (the curse, death, imperfection) gets worse, but the light (life at its core) gets better.. | |

During this time, also called the first harvest, all the righteous will be reaped from the earth. Define righteous however you will, Iunderstand as those who have died to themselves and lived their life to please God. These people will be removed from the earth, never having to suffer death or any of the destruction foretold. These righteous people will be here one minute than gone the next. So it will be a very visible sign of the ending. Its only after this first harvest that things will get very bad. Because the earth will be filled with hatred, greed, and no remorse.
