More Nanny State Stupidity in San Francisco.

"Garbage Police" are being paid by the taxpayers to rummage through garbage to make sure all the good little sheep of San Francisco are separating their recycleables.
This is interesting, considering the fact that many recycleable substances cost more, and create more polution to recycle than to create.
Is there any bit of stupidity too far fetched for the people of San Francisco?
The thing that got me was, there are taxpayers who actually want to see people fined and jailed if they are "repeat offenders".
I'm sure there are great people with the ability to have rational throughts in San Francisco... but why do they let the mindless whiners get their way?
Are there any freedoms left in San Francisco?

I think this is unreasonable and a waste of taxpayers money. I'm down south of you and sure hope this doesn't happen here. We pay enough money for various things this city thinks we need now.

Oh, I don't live in San Francisco... I live in Wisconsin. What happens in California has a nasty habit of infecting the rest of the country though.

I'm sorry but I find that HIGHLY disturbing! I am NOT one to shred my documents (though my husband does) so if I lived in San Fran it would be NOTHING for someone to steal my identity and what not if I were to throw that sort of thing out (I'm a packrat so anything from the bank etc etc I actually keep LOL for yrs :-/)...All it would take is for one of the garbage police to be shifty ya know....I definately would NOT be cool with that at all!!
and how is that legal anyway?

Holy hell thats just insane!!
