They have understood well in the near future we will have electricity by exploiting the free movement of our body.
A group of scientists at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, has developed a system that produces tissue technology capable of generating electricity.
At the stretch, friction or simply to be moved by the wind, this material would produce enough energy to recharge, for example, an MP3 player or a cell phone.
The study, published in the latest edition of the journal Nature, is based on the so-called effect piezoléctrico, technology used in many projects to generate clean energy.
Nature explains that the team of Georgia Institute of Technology, led by Professor Zhong Lin Wang, covered with fabric fibers of zinc oxide nanowires 1,800 times thinner than a human hair.
The researchers have not yet produced articles with this fabric, which estimated that the clothes covered with nanowires take some time to appear on the market.
According to experts, the main problem is that the nanowires of zinc oxide can not be wet, so the shirt power generation would be useless after the first washed.

Bravo. My husband game me this article and said I should start a myLot discussion about it, but I didn't get around to it and now you have don it for me. Amazing technology! I had been trying to do a little reading from time to time just to be acquainted with the general ideas of what nano technology was and where it was going, but this is just incredible! I'm firmly convinced that the naysayers are barking up the wrong tree. The fabric itself doesn't have to be waterproof once the figure how how to shield it from the elements without diminishing its effectiveness. Should be a piece of cake. It wouldn't have to be worn like full-body armor, but one could think of many useful applications.

I cant wait for that day when I would be the generator of my own electricity zenith2007. in my country, we have power distibutors who are literally looting us with revised power tarrifs each other month. Because they are monopolists, we look helplessly at their cheating ways-let that time come and come very quickly-I would do anything to generate enough power to free myself from the electricity thieves we have in my country. Thanks for the post.

The road is long but I think that one day we arrive, or perhaps we ariveranno our children to be self-sufficient in energy production and perhaps clean energy that does not harm the environment.

This is a pretty interesting concept. When you think about it all of us at one time or another have felt static electricity. Scientist have come a long way over the years and it wouldn't surprise me if they managed to do this also.

if these nanowires can be insulated without taking away their ability to generate, then we have ourselves a pretty good energy solution
