What is your artistic style?  

My favorite painters are Monet(named one of my cats after him) & Renoir. I have a few of their art work on my wall & I find it so relaxing just to look at them sometimes.

One of my favourite paintings is by Monet..the Poppies. I love the lovely red flowers and the girl in the black dress.
I also like any kind of fairy art, no one in particular, but I do like Cicely Barkers Flower Faeries.
I also like the drawings by Olivia, you know those really cool drawings of women in all sorts of clothes? I love the fashions about it.
Those are just a few...I simply love art period.

i prefer monet and that type of art ... the way that the colour are blended are quite nice. i also like the style of very old posters (like the ones produced by Toulouse Letrec for Moulon Rouge).

Well, this is going to sound like I am 'blowing my own horn'. But I like my art. I work with water colors. My youngest daughter,38 yrs old, is my favorite too. She works with the oil mediums. yes i have my favorites framed and showing in my house. My Husband makes gorgeous frames, for both my daughter and myself. Sometimes we have him leave them plain, so we can paint them to match a room, or we will antique them. Others are beautifully stained. depend on where we want them hung. We get together a lot and paint together. Then spend 2 hrs cleaning the mess ! LOL We have lots of fun. My oldest daughter, 41 YRS OLD, can draw ANYTHING and so can my husband. They don like to paint though.

The artist I most admire historically is probably Caravaggio, who transformed chiaroscuro. there is a great article on him in Wikipedia and for those not interested in reading it all, it is easy to just skim through the gorgeous photos:

Of modern artist I would have to like my husband best, I suppose, and then myself, naturally, but my current favorite among other living artists would have to be Vladimir Kush. His page takes a while to load but is well worth it:

The style I most admire is realism, but rather than photorealism, although I admire greatly those who perfect it, my favorite Realism is that with a touch of the Surreal.

I love the artist Darcy Doyle.
I have 8 prints hanging on my walls.
But am still waiting for a certain person to drill some holes in some brickwork so I can hang the rest.
I suppose they might get hung before I need a zimmer frame to get around.

My favorite artist is Monet. I used to have a painting of Le Jardin in my living room years ago, but then I moved and the colors of my new apartment didn't match it, so I gave it to a friend.

I'm a sucker for impressionst art and old catholic art.

I enjoy surrealist painting too, of course Salvadore Dalii but I love Paul Nash (1889-1946) his painting Landscape from a dream as it incorporates so much into it. I also love paintings by Ann Searle who is better known for painting pastels floral pictures, my favourite of hers is Cats in the Conservatory and an as yet unheard of artist, my friend Su Okeeffe, who has painted many pictures but gives them away to friends or for charity auctions at the moment. I will try to upload one or two now for you to see and yes I do display at home. Ellie:D

I like many different styles of art. I have several cubist prints in my house along with a few old poster prints, Marilyn Monroe and another print of the serviceman kissing the girl photo from a long time ago.
It is hard to choose one particular style.
