Do you dare to try any "martial arts"? |
|
I was watching japanese drama "Gokusen" and its story about a high school teacher who also the grandchild of 2nd leader of Japanese mafia. She helps her students from "bad people" and kicks the enemy with her martial arts. She really looks nice! Because of that drama, i was interested to learn any martial arts like Aikido. I am so busy with my laboratory class thats why until mow, i cant take any Aikido class. How about you, do you dare to try any "martial arts", maybe tai-chi, aikido, kendo, or jujitsu?

2. bellaofchaos (3116) | 2 years ago | If I had time I would love to learn a style of martial arts but I just don't seem to have the time to do so halfthe time I spend trying to make time for other things. LOL!! I really wish that I had the time and energy for other things. LOL!!I would also like to go back to weight lifting but that seems like a no go. GRRRR.. I'll just have to wait until things are a little less hectic. if you know what i mean.

3. headhunter525 (1447) | 2 years ago | I learnt bits of it when I was young. But I am now too heavy to jump and do elegant kicks... But sometimes I swing my legs so that I am not totally out of touch with it. That's needed for self-defence! I have forgotten steps now...not even one.

4. melissaruth1 (3528) | 2 years ago | When I was in my early twenties I took twae kwon do and got to my second degree brown belt. I was also an assistant instructor. It taught me not only to defend myself, but discipline and self control as well. I think if you have a good instructor it is very beneficial for every one to take.

| 6. makotoshishio (1) | 2 years ago | A few years ago I begin working in a new place and one of the guys there was a Black Belt in Karate. It was very interesting listening to his stories and it was something I would have loved to try when I was between 15 and 18 years old. I decided to try something like it and signed up for a summer camp on Taek-Won-Do. The summer camp was good but I found it to limit the students to use most of the time their legs. I tested this one day sparring with a brown belt; I was yellow. He used kicks and I just got closer and used punches. When I used only punches he got confused and did not knew what to do very well.
