my impression of Canada |
|
maybe i'm not so qualified for talking about Canada, as i haven't been there myself. my impression of this country are totally from my friends who visited there and such modern medium as TV and internet. in my opinion, Canada is such a country with very clear air, which you can't enjoy in most cities of China. the entironment is well protected by government and individuals. you can see the picture below which i uploaded from internet. what a colourful and bright coutry it is. i admire those who live there. for most of us, who lives in polluted city,it's luxury to breathe in such clear air. i wish i can travel to Canada some day. are there canadians who are willing to share your feelings of Canada? and someone who has been there, what's your impression of the country? do you have the same feelings with me?

1. danishcanadian (13735) | 6 months ago | I am Canadian, and Canda is one of the best countries in the world...right next to Denmark.;-) My mother is Danish, my father is Canadian, and I was born in Canada. Right now I am in the USA with my American husband, but I will be flying home in a couple of months, for a while.

2. johnyan1 (18) | 6 months ago | Well, your impression is right. Canada is a modern, high-developed and wonderful country, less 50 million population owning the same size land as China, owning plenty of natual resource which every country envies it. In here, I touched lots of friends. Not everybody feel here is paradise for immigrants. I think, maybe half and half. For me, I don't know which part I am in. This is a absolutely gorgeous country once you solved communication problem in English. I am working here for nearly one year in a small IT company as IT guy. But I still feel I am isolated with others. I thought lots of times why this happened. I am still seeking the answer...... Except this, I have to say Canada is still good for me.....^_^

sophialin (1057) | 6 months ago | yes,i can understand you. Canada is paradise for those foreigners who visit there and stay for several days at most. for most immigrants like you, none is better than your own country. barrier of speech is the main problem each immigrant is facing with. i think as time pass by, you'll feel more comfortable. just be confident of yourself, to be frank, you have done well, nevertheless i trust you can do better in future. i wish you can log on mylot to communicate with us as long as you are free. good luck!

| 3. george_nimble (7) | 6 months ago | In my opinion, the worst thing about Canada is the lack of innovation and creativity. By the way, I live in Toronto now.

sophialin (1057) | 6 months ago | really? why do you think so? i know little about Canada. do you mean that Canadians are more conservative than Americans? are you willing to say more about it? i'm interest in it, thank you.

| george_nimble (7) | 6 months ago | At best, Canadians are copycats of Americans; at worst, they are just a group of blind followers.

4. kdhartford (491) | 6 months ago | I've been to Canada and I have many Canadian friends. Canada is a great place, it is a lot like the US, except taxes are higher. The best thing about Canada is hockey and Canadian bacon.

5. candyandhoney (123) | 6 months ago | In my opinion we shouldn't be blinded by the superficial appearance.whenever you live in and whatever you do are all for a better life. For someone who could live well in Canada it will be deserved for them. For those who can't stand up with the comfort or lacking of innovation or people in Canada around them, it will be a hell.
