When buying DVD's on places like Amazon.com and such, they offer you NEW and USED offers. Have you ever had luck with the used ones? I mean, athey are like half the price and if they are in fine condition with no scratches, why not buy them, but you are buying without knowing that. i am sure the seller isn't going to tell you they are scratched. But at the same time they are used and you don't know the condition. Any thoughts or experiences? I'm looking at the Andy Griffith Show Seasons. Low on money and just looking but $20 used vs. $40 new.... just gotta wonder and ask!

I get the feeling it may be hit and miss, am not sure whether there is any guarantee involved. Saying that the Used DVS sets I have brought from Play.com and ebay have all worked perfectly with no problem

I bought a few from BlockBuster store at christmas time and they say the check them right there - I saw them do something, but don't know if it mattered. And the disks had no scratches. I just am a leary online shopper, mainly cause if it is bad you have to deal with a return and pay more postage to return it!
