 Personally, I believe that Scientology is a bunch of bull crap! It is a supposed "church" and therefore, they get a tax cut!! I think that it is some sort of cult that goes after peoples money. LRH himself (creator of Scientology) said something along the lines of: "The easiest way for someone to get rich is for them to make their own religion" and that is exactly what Hubbard did .. Made his own religion! Just look at some of the famous people in Scientology too .. Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and others.
As well as their aim in their own personal wealth, Scientology also has done many other horrible things: caused some deaths, lied to children and basically had them in child labour, and they had even been caught with stolen documents from the American government!The only death that I know of due to Scientology was that of Lisa Mcpherson. Lisa was a Scientologist .. And a while ago she had gotten into some sort of car accident and went to the hospital for it. Later on, a group of Scientologists had taken Lisa from the hospital and put her into some sort of hotel or something. So Lisa was under the care of the Scientologists .. And she died that way as well. I believe she died from starvation or dehydration but I'm not 100% sure.. Either way there are some disgusting pictures I had seen of her afterwards ..=/ with cockroach bites!!Also, there is Sea Org, Scientology's private navy. That is what had put some children into what was basically child labour. They were told of or promised some sort of education in Scientology courses (they cost a pretty penny!) in turn for working for Scientology. But really, it was cruel and disgusting work!To find out more about Scientology .. Search it on google or something .. I would provide links but I'm not sure if that is allowed or not.

I do not see how this can be a form of religion at all either. And on the news when they said Katie and Tom were into that she had to give birth quietly etc. Without making a sound. I didnt catch the whole story or know to much about it but that is almost impossible. There was no way of keeping my mouth shut during pregnancy lol. | |

And I don't think the woman can take any kind of pain killer>. < It's pretty pathetic really! I can not wait to partake in the next strike! Have you done any striking against them or plan on it steffyhoney? Well I know that the next one coming up is on March 15th .. And it should be bigger and better than the one from February 10th! Hopefully it won't work for you. Under the guise of being a religion, it's origins offshooting from psychotherapy and a...science fiction author...come on...let's all rid ourselves of the alien particles.

I would rather believe in myself. I'm my own religion and I'm just fine. If you happened to miss the Boston Legal episode, copy and patse the following to your browser. It should be classified all around the world as a cult rather than a religion, and have it's tax exempt status removed. I'm so glad that people are speaking out against the CoS's wrongdoings more and more lately. Just the other day the group 'anonymous' held protests around the world. Go anonymous!!! I think it's important to make people more aware of just how nasty an organisation CoS is. I've learnt a lot from websites like operation clambake, and reading 'a piece of blue sky' etc. I got curious one day about what that odd little religion i'd been hearing about was, and googled it... I never expected to find such a nasty, bizarre, dangerous, cult.

And what is with the whole medicine thing? I heard that Tom Cruise's medical records were broken into at a hospital. Aren't hospitals for the most part a no-no? That if God wants you better you will get better. I do admit I do need to do more research on this subject. I do know that what I know for sure of them I do not like. But I am not much for religion anyway. It is a belief, I agree. There are so many different laws among all the religions that how can every one be right about theirs.

But I know that they are against medicine or a lot of medicines and things like Psychology, etc. It is quite insane! I mostly have to agree with you that Tom Cruise is whacky .. I don't really think any organized religion is worth bothering with but that is just my opinion. some people seem to be helped by it and if it helps them then who am I to question it. Even if this sect is horrible, then nothing we do here is going to stop it or change it. People beleive what they believe. The most that writing about a specific religion on here is going to do is get those agreeing with you to argue with those that don't.
