Sensitive Subjects with Spouse  | |  So my spouse wants to look good but gets upset when I point out little things that she could do to help look better. I understand it is a sensitive subject for her and I am trying to help her.
So how do you go about discussing sensitive subjects with your spouse
Is it best to hedge around these kinds of things or avoid them altogether

First- never try to teach her anything! She is fairly intelligent in her own right and she will learn with experience.
Second- she has spent her whole life thinking about being beautiful. How could a simple man even think he could improve on that?
THird- Never try to hedge around about anything! If its a sensitive subject don't even go near it. Good Luck!

| | 2.  sedel1027 (10685) | 5 months ago |  Don't do what my husband did and say that I dress frumpy to go to work, LOL I work in a warehouse office, I go in and out the warehouse all day and often work on the computers. No one where I work dresses nicely - mainly jeans and t-shirts. His point was that he misses me dressing up. That last job - where I was at for 3 years - I had to dress up business casual every day. Had he said that, I would not have looked at him like he was insane. LOL
It is all about how you word things. When you see your wife do something that makes her look good, tell her so. If you miss something that she use to do, tell her.
