I cannot believe there are NO threads about Neil Gaimen on here...
Anyway, for one month Gaimen is putting his American Gods on the internet. You cannot download it, but have to read it online.
Lets see if I can type this up right...

Okay, so I not only want to tell everyone they can read this book online but also ask; has he finally gone mad? Or is this genius viral marketing for his newer works?

First your spelling of his name is wrong, that's maybe why you found no threads. There is an interest set up for him.
Not sure what they are up to because American Gods is not a new book it came out in 2003, unless they are waiting to increase awareness of Neil Gaiman to push up sales or maybe there is a new book coming out.

Oh yeah... neh, that's what I get for posting at oh-God o'clock.
It is an old book, that is his reasoning to get it out there; it will pull in readers for his new books. In all the years I've known about it I've not actually read it. I've only ever read some of his graphic novels. This is certainly a way to get me to read his work and perhaps buy more.
