What's the Point?

What is the point of increasing your payout amount? Why increase it and make it more difficult to reach each month, isn't it better to have it low so you at least can get the payout every month? Or am I missing something, does increasing the payout give other advantages I am not aware of?

for me increasing your payout is a great challenge...of course it adds your income...this might be the result of a goal set by anybody...you feel happy if you reached your goal...i make a goal this month to reached above minimum payout...hope i can.

Yes I can see it as a challenge, that is an interesting perspective on it.

I chose the $25 payout limit this time around, because I feel I can do more with $25 than with $10. I know, I could save the $10 each time, but I don't want to do that. I want to go shopping on ebay for something worthwhile. And $10 simply doesn't go very far towards anything nowadays. But $25?? Oh yeah! That's different!

I guess I can see it as a means of saving up money, but it seems pointless to risk it, what if you decide to stop or get banned losing 9.99 is not that huge of a deal but losing 24.99 is considerably more.

I'm too good of a person. I'd never get banned from this site, unless I'm found guilty by association. I tend to bond well with the troublemakers. You ought to know.

I used to have mine set low so I could get paid every month from Mylot. I recently changed it to a higher amount so I can save my money up. I like to leave it in here and let it build up and then withdraw it so I don't spend it on something else I don't need or have to have. This is the first time I have ever done that so it is exciting for me to work hard on saving and earning enough for the payout amount I chose. I will be able to have more money all at one time that way unless I need it for something else sooner.

I suppose its like saving money. So far I've not even reached $10 so my plan is to wait until I do reach that and then see if the money does actually make its way to me. If it does then I may consider changing my payout amount.

For some of our mylot friends it is simple to achieve the 10.00 payout in no time. That would not be me. So by raising their payout limit they have more of a challenge. A bigger goal to achieve 25.00 or more gives them a better payout to look forward to as well. I on the other hand have not been posting enough so far to even get my first payout...but I am working on it. Talk to you soon.... Mamablaze!!

well for mylot, many people will not reach the 10$ payout, therefor they will have free posts on their site. On a more personal level, it all depends what you want to buy. Imagine something on ebay or whatnot is 13$, if you had already cashed out at 10 and had 4$ in earnings, you could not buy it. If you just save up and cash out when you know you will use the money, it is worth it. Some people also prefer to get 20$ once rather than 10$ twice. Its like if someone gives you a dollar per week for 10 weeks, it seems like they gave you almost nothing. But if that person gave you 10$ once, it already represents something.

I think it makes people work harder to earn money. Personally, I have mine set low because the money is for my daughters college textbooks and it feels good to give her the money, so she can buy another book. We need more teachers, who really want to teach and every dollar I earn means one less dollar she has to pay out of her little paycheck.
