A Wish I made Has Just Come True! - Wow What A Wonderful Thing To Happen

I still can't quite believe what happened earlier, I managed to buy a newer car last April but the previous owner wanted the stereo system. I love my music but other things have always taken precedence over me getting one and earlier in the car I wished I had music. Well earlier tonight an ex-boyfriend turned up with a brand new JVC KD-G431 CD/MP3 player for my car with the words I know you are always giving to everyone else and at times don't feel appreciated and I know how you miss not having your music in the car so please accept this as a gift from me to say thank you for all the help and support you have given me over the years and to show I appreciate the friendship you still give me now. Well I am in shock. I great at being a giver but find it hard to receive. Have you ever been surprised by an unexpected gift, it wasn't my birthday or anything, totally out of the blue, and if you have what was it and how did it make you feel? Please share. Ellie :O

hi ellie-its the same with me i have always gien and had pleasure in doing so-but when i got divorced about 8yrs ago now my ex took most things in the house including the fridge a friend who came round one day couldn't beleive waht my ex had done then the following day he asked me to go into town with him he took me to currys and bought me a new fridge freezer-i was gob smacked and didn't know what to say it was so kind of him and in a sense i felt really bad yet so glad that he had helped me out that way-i had never expected him or anyone to do that for me and found it so hard to be on the receiving end-yet i do beleive in karma and the goodness and love you give to others will be returned to you-blessings your friend littleowl

Hi Little owl, wow so you have experienced something like too this. It is wnderful isn't but at the same time astonishing to think that someone would do something so nice for you when you are used to being the giver. That was nasty of your ex-husband to take everything, but it was material so can be replaced which is obviously was by this frined of yours. Thank you so much for sharing. Ellie :D

thanks ellie-but what really i should of said as well is that because of your kindness,thoughtfulness and generosotiy to others now you are on the receiving end and long may it last-good for you my dear dear friend

Wow... what a lovely surprise for you, and such lovely sentiments from your ex too. He certainly values your support and friendship, and I don't see why you should find it difficult to receive gifts of this nature. It's a fault to give and not be able to receive anyway. He might like to give, just as a thank you, so accept it with grace and thank your lucky stars for granting your wish. :)

Thank you Darkwing. I did accept with grace and yes it is a fault I must work on within myself because for some reason I always feel guilty when something like this happens, but I am thankful for these blessings and don't know why I find it so hard because I do believe in what you give out you get back in someway and what goes around comes around it just surprises me when it does. Oh yeeeessss I'll enjoy having my music in the car yippee. Ellie :D

Yes I have but it was for my Birthday I just did not expect it
It was sent by the Post from a Friend
She knows I collect Fairies and she sent me a beautiful Fairy for my Birthday I was not expecting it so it was a great Surprise and I loved the Fairy

Thank you so much Raydene, it was just so unexpected and because I don't have any expectations of anybody just give because I choose too it was a shock to be appreciated in this way. Oh I will enjoy believe me, music is one thing that makes me happy even on the sad days and we all get those in life! Ellie :D

Wow..that was so special! I have recieved gifts that were out of the blue...usually I don't know what to say and I am a bit embarassed. I am a giver too and really have a hard time accepting things that are gifts with the exception of those from my family. Enjoy the music!

Thanks. It makes such a difference having music in the car, my son who usually is saying the classic 'are we there yet' is a lot happier too he just sways to the music in his car seat bless. Was a lovely gift to receive eh and very kind of this person. Ellie :D
