When they grab the credit...

Philippines

I have been working in one of the universities here in our city since 2000. During my first few semesters of teaching, I haven't really had any problem with regards to work. Later on, I realized that my co-teachers and even my superiors have been grabbing the credit/s that I deserve. I have instituted a lot of different activities in my teaching strategies which really worked effectively. I am not the type of person who would brag about this and I am so thankful that somehow people take notice of what I do. However, some of my co-teachers and superiors take the credit and I am left unacknowledged. Of course, I have to admit that I am hurt. Oh well, that's just how some people are...

People who are insecure of themselves are guilty of taking credit for the work of others... i have been a victim of this too... but in the end... the truth will come out eventually... there is always competitions between teachers... and sad to say... that these competitions are not always friendly... and this is one of the minor reasons why i decided to quit teaching for a while...

Hello dear dolce. I feel so bad that some of them grab your credits out of no reason. I am sure that they would feel guilty for this some day. But I believe that your glory will not be always covered by them so long as you have more achievements later on. Please do not lose heart and keep up for your loving teaching job. Be happy, friend.

My ex-husband use to do that. The first time he did it my jaw dropped and I just knew I had to being seeing and hearing things. I did all the yard work, and our yard looked really nice, I don't think he knew one end of a rake from the other. One day his parents came out (we lived in the country) his mom and dad just bragged and bragged on the nice job he was doing with the yards, he was doing an excellent job and so on. I stood there and watched him straiten up until I thought he grew two more inches, his chest puffed out and he swaggard around and wallowed in their praise. The man didn't know one end of a rake from the other. I don't think he even knew how to crank a lawn mower. What galled me was standing there watching this person I knew behave that way, needless to say my opinion of him dropped even more that day. People like that are missing something in their make-up or something. I hope for your sake your able to get the word out when you do something good before these glory hogs get to it.
