I hate Wal-Mart

I went to Wal-Mart on my lunch to pick a few essentials and a birthday present for my daughter's friend. I walked out with $180 in crap. Now true it is all necessary, but it just seems like everytime I go there I spend more money, I can's seem to go there and only pick up the few things I plan on picking up,there is always something else I see that I realize I need.

Oh yeah you are not alone with that one. Of course I also think they have a time warp around their building because no matter what I just can't seem to get out of there without spending at least an hour in the store. Of course these are with the Super Wal-marts and we do our grocery shopping there as well but still it can get frurstrating. It never seems to fail that I get more then what I went in for no matter how hard I try not too. Of course I do the same at the dollar store but at least there my totals aren't as big

Yeah I pretty much plan if I'm going there to spend at least an hour in the store itself, that way I'm safe. If it's less then it's great (not that it happens very often) but usually it's longer.

Yes they do seem to exist in a slightly different time dimension as the rest of the world. I often find that I go there to pick up a few things on my lunch and find myself hurrying back to work to make it on time.

LOL I do the same thing! I use to get annoyed, but then I realized if it wasn't Wal-Mart that I ran into, odds are it would be somewhere else and the same thing would happen.

True enough. It could be anywhere but it usually seems to be WalMart for me.

As we do not have a Wal-Mart in our country I assume from the movies that it is a big store with everything in it! Am I right? But as for going and not being able to pick up the things that are planned to purchase you are not alone on that! lol Then getting home and saying to one-self "why on earth did I buy that?" lol

I know what you mean. I get alot of things from Walmart but i like to stock up on some of the things also. I can never get out of there under $250.00 most of the time because I have to get food and all of the extras also.

I have a love/hate relationship with wal-mart. I find such good deals on things that I tend to buy more than I went for. I have gasped at the cashier more than once. They are building a super wal-mart here soon and that scares me! I am a pro union person and I hate the anti union stance of Walmart it makes me want to hide my face as I go in. I just can't stop tho

I much prefer to love walmart. Most anything I need, I can buy there. And now that the local walmart to me has the grocery section, I'm all set! All that's missing for me are bananas. If I could buy bananas at my walmart, I'd never have to shop in any other store ever again! I LOVE THAT! I spent $180 the last time I was there too, of course, I got Guitar Hero 3, and that wasn't exactly a necessary item (this week lol). I know the only reason I went was to buy tampons and to try and replace some easter goodies I raided the day before. I ended up with new toothbrushes, more basket stuffers than I originally planned on, the GH3, a new shirt, a new bra, some grocery items, a new sponge for my mop, and other things that I've already forgotten about.

The WalMart in Hyde Park has a produce section. Including Bananas, and that is the walmart I was in. And in fact i did buy a large bunch of bananas LOL.

That's all fine and dandy for YOU maybe, but I am not near the walmart in Hyde Park, so I cannot buy bananas at walmart like you can. :P I had to buy my bananas at the market downtown yesterday. I bought eggs for decorating tomorrow too. Most freakin' expensive eggs ever! And it took me 3 shops to find white eggs!
